at least he acknowledged the UC football players on giving him this opportunity...I think Brian Kelly made the right move to go to ND but I wish he could have waited until after the bowl game! He has to pay UC $1 million over the next year since he broke his contract, which would have expired January 10, 2010...I'm sure ND will have that covered!)

Cincinnati is still a second-rate school that is just now building its first practice facility and only has a 35,000 person stadium. Brian Kelly is a devout Catholic man who has always dreamed of being at Notre Dame. Add this to the fact that whatever Cincinnati could have hoped to pay Kelly in cash, ND would have tripled it, and then there was no reason for him to stay at CU and miss an opportunity like this.

I understand why a lot of people think what Kelly is doing is shady--leaving Cincinnati before the season is over and before the biggest bowl game in the history of the school. However, the big time programs in need of a coach never wait until the end of bowl season to hire a new coach because they want to prepare for recruiting season. The system is set up to make coaches like Kelly look like asses.

So UC should've been penalized as well for taking Kelly from CMU? And thats very asinine to compare Rodriguez to Kelly as Rodriguez has come out and said he WILL run his system, which is a spread OPTION system, and make the players run that system. While Kellly has come out and said he will ADAPT his system to the players he has, and his system is a spread OFFENSE not OPTION. Great Coaches adapt their system to the players they have.
