Naughty boy :P Ive done that before but you can easily damage wheels so we only do it when the head guy is away for a laugh. But I deffo do not endorse doing that.

CHiming the bell and going up with it is really fun at the end =] i tried it with a 40cwt tenor and i rung it down on a HUGE box. At the end i grabebd the sally and i fell off the box and started to swing myself around xD
blimey that was an interesting way of ringing practice I ring at st stephen in brannel lovely set of bells there and we always have a clapper tie put on on those beginner practises

Haha, ain't it great! Not rung one that heavy so I don't know, but I've done it on our 10cwt tenor when it was half way up!
