  • Lol, they're like "Nope, we're not listening."

  • Like if David Kelly brought you here

  • Does this stuff happen regularly in these peoples' lives? Do they have cowboys in their families that do this daily? They seem indifferent to the AMAZING PIANO PLAYING.

  • What a cool compact piano! I long to play like that someday.

  • Woah. It's so strange, I was looking for this kind of music on Youtube and it led me to this video from my hometown of Elko Nevada.

  • that's amazing! :)

  • This song is great but there is another great one that i can't find, it is the piano song of Renée Zellweger in 'Appaloosa' does anyone knows it ?

  • me likes this

  • Nice! The song he is playing is King Chanticleer, from around 1910 or so.

  • that would be pop and r&b

  • No, I meant trilling.

  • How can people just ignore that?

  • @addnamehere Fabulous observation. I noticed it too, subconciously, and then you said it and I was thinking "Oh my gosh" because... who really CAN ignore it? It's amazing piano craftsmanship! Not really the word, but performance is!

  • It's almost sad, a lot of people don't admire the hardwork that's put into perfecting an instrument.

  • @addnamehere I would totally smash something up someones head :) it's a fighting song

  • @addnamehere 'cause they all pretend to be tough cowboys :)

  • n11111

  • i went to yellowstone and went to this old historic saloon that buffalo bill and sitting bull would always hang out. they also had a player piano and a stage were the ladies would dance. great experience

  • This is awesome.

  • Maestro el viejo. Desaría tocar asi xD

  • Prof. Bourne is the best. More please.

  • Exactly! By the way, the tune is "King Chanticleer", a pop song from 1911 with music by Nat D. Ayer (who also wrote "Oh, You Beautiful Doll" among other hits). This one has been associated with saloon/honky-tonk/western music at least since the '30's, when (Warner Bros. musical director) Carl Stalling scored a brief honky-tonk piano version of this in a saloon scene in a Yosemite Sam cartoon.

  • I've always wondered how early 20th century ragtime music got associated so closely with Western culture from the 1870s and 1880s. I guess it was the movie industry. I wonder what piano music really sounded like in those saloons and hotels though..

  • pfoulala tres bien very well bravo monsieur

  • hahaha, great man!!
