So happy I found your website!!! I'm a beginner sewer and wanting to do more than sew an apron, or a pillow case, LOL.....I love your vids, the quality and presentation is fantastic, keep it up...

I hope one day you'll do a video for a pencil skirt, I'm eager to make one:-)

@Cascadia2011 Thanks for the kind words. :) We're glad you found our videos helpful. I love pencil skirts so there will definitely be a video on it at some point. Just keep an eye on our website as it more than likely will be a part of a premium membership patternmaking series found only on our website. We just released the basic skirt patternmaking tutorial and the sloper made in that tutorial would be needed to convert the basic skirt into a pencil. Have fun learning to sew

@Cascadia2011 Currently, the basic skirt patternmaking is found on our website and not on youtube. This video shows you how to make the pattern and we'll release on how to put it together soon. We offer 67 free tutorials, which are posted on youtube, but we have 37 additional videos for our premium members. @bluephi96 sweet! I love when people get sewing machines as gifts! If she's never worked with commercial patterns before, it might be easier if she started with our tutorial on Simplicity 2147 which is a mini dress or tunic. It's also on our youtube channel. It's one of their beginner patterns so it's a good one to start with. We also go step by step so she can follow along with us. :) Hope she has fun learning to sew!

WOW, this is a detailed and thorough illustration of how to sew a pattern from start to finish. You explain how to size the pattern to your individual and lay out the pattern on the fabric. I don't think you left out a step. WONDERFUL VIDEO !!!!
