I remember reading books and watching movies about the Universal monster movies as a kid. Nothing beat the classics they did, but good or bad they had the best monsters. It's kind of sad to me having so much trouble finding this being a fan of those movies and B-movies in general. I've found alot at dvd stores, but this is sadly not one of them. What a pity. At the very least it looks a bit better than Killer Shrews or The Giant Gila Monster. Still all are entertaining one way or another

@balrog13571 This movie alone isn't available on DVD, but look for "The Classic Sc-Fi Ultimate Collection Vol. 1 & 2". The Deadly Mantis is in the box-set, along with 9 other B-movie classics! Other than The Deadly Mantis, Tarantula would have to be my favorite in the set. You absoluetly need to buy it!

I love how old B-movie titles summed up exactly what was in the film itself.

This film, for example, is called The Deadly Mantis. It is about a mantis which is deadly. Genius!
