With Emmanuel Borghi on Fender Rhodes... and look how Christian Vander still puts all his passion into his drums and his vocals! Magma... a universe in itself, based on John Coltrane, Carl Orff and Otis Redding.
I have got to get this DVD. I own Epok 1 and 2, but never got around to purchasing the other two. That has to change now. Apart from the fact that this ends on a more unresolved note, this is actually superior to the studio version, IMO. And that is a mindblowing performance as well.
Magma never ceases to astound. Although incomplete at this juncture, E-Re in this version sounds as good as or better than the 2009 studio album. Particularly striking are the vocals. This is no watered down attempt to approximate an artificially perfected studio track, but a living, fully valid take of its own. Himiko on Rindoh is a standout for me in particular. Her feathery voice really gives passion to the mourning. Magma iss de hundin in Univeria Zekt!

J'ai eu la chance d'assister à deux concerts en 2010, dont celui de Compiègne au Ziquodrome.
Standing ovation.
Quel dommage que les concerts de Magma se fassent de plus en plus rares au fil du temps.
Raison de plus pour ne pas les manquer.
