I love this song!

Funny, the first time I heard this I didn't know it's by DC. I thought it was by a Christian band. So I was pleasantly surprised when I found out it was by DC, because I'm a fan.

I think the song has a very Christian message. I wonder if the members of the band are not actually Christians. I'll be surprised if they aren't.

honestly I know more emo songs by LP and MCR then this, and im a huge fan of both. And squeaky? id like to see most any singer hit as high of notes he can. He is one of the most talented live performer i know, its his unique voice that makes him so popular. and as for him making other bands sound emo? I seriously think your retarted. bands make an image for them selves, not by how other bands sound!

I'm an atheist and I have to admit I was, at first, a little disappointed they did a religious song. But then i read the lyrics and it seems more like he struggling to keep his faith even though he doesn't really believe. I see the voice at the end as the voice of reason saying "You're not living in sin, You're human and you're perfectly fine the way you are." Thats kind of what happened to me,

@sleepforever Chris was originally in a Christian bad called "Further Seems Forever" (though they weren't explicityl Christian they were on a Christian label and had some Christian themes in their lyrics) I believe this song is about him struggling with his faith

This song is about him sinning, and knowing that it is wrong. He doubts his faith and is asking Jesus to help him wipe it all away. To make him clean and free of his sins. His disbelief and lack of faith makes him feel that he is right, but deep down he knows that he is wrong, and only Jesus can get him right... =) No person is free of sin, on Jesus was. We sin every day, it is human nature. Jesus is saving grace!
