I have prayed, accepted Jesus as the Messiah/Son of the most high, but I still sin. I hate it when I do and I pray for guidance when I do; however that does not stop me from sinning again. It upsets me each time. Yet even though I repent I still find myself sinning. I had no road to Damascus moment, so is it possible I am not saved? Am I perhaps one of those whom Jesus will say to Depart from me I never knew you? Thanks for any help you can offer. In all things the Father's will be done.

@YaHuWaHservant trust in the Lord and receive His power to overcome temptation and sin by faith! you must have faith in your salvation, continue to seek him by praying and read his words daily and i am sure that God is going to bless you and help you with your struggles. A Christian should not live in a continues pattern of habitual sin. That Christian should bare fruits. However becareful I believe you are knocking on the door of legalism. Any one who strives in his own flesh to be righteous is legalistic. We must be completely surrendered so that that Holy Spirit can workout our salvation in fully submitted spiritually poor vessel. @malauw yes,we are saved by the grace of God trough faith,but if you faith is founded on Jesus you'll see the evidences that you have the Spirit living in you. is not about "good works" (giving to the poor, clothing people, etc) to go to heaven, is the real fruit of that Jesus has touched your life, a passion for God, his word and prayer, a constant hatred to sin. those are the works that James is talking about; though God will put in us the need to do the good works I mentioned above

@malauw We have a duty not to just sit by and let things go. We as representatives of his kingdom must do what is right according to what has been set down in his commandments. Salvation isn't just simply attained by saying a prayer. If you truly accept Jesus than you act in godly manner. If I saw a person being physically attacked I cannot just sit by. If I saw someone who fallen and gotten hurt I couldn't just leave without offering help. If I accept Jesus I must help others in someway.

@malauw No it's more than just good works and accepting Jesus. It's conducting yourself in certain ways. It's abstaining from sinful things and disciplining your mind, body, and soul. I admit that I am far from perfect but I try. At the end I do what I can with the time that has been given to me and when I fall short ask for forgiveness.
