@Jospehporta That's how the stock marked works. Creditors can't get their money from him as a privat person if the particular company goes bankrupt. I don't know the details of what your talking about, but if a company goes bankrupt, then the leftover values are to pay back the creditors, the rest to the bank. There is alot of buts and ifs here, but if the values can't cover this, then someone who lended the company money will get the bill. This usually goes to court, to determine who gets what.

Corporations (stocks) are structured to be a privat unit, and no responcibility is to be shared outside the company's values. This means that if you deal with a company, then you deal with it as a private person. If the private person has no money to pay you back, then you don't get that money, only unpayed dept. This is the risk of accepting credit.
@Crextal That's the point you are taught in every business school to make more money than the bank interest rate, otherwise there is no point going into business, just put your money in a bank. Trump has actually been losing money for years and performs worse than the bank interest rate.

Say if a gaming company produces a videogame, then they spend years producing it, sells a first game, comes out with minor losses, builds the engine furder, sells another game, agains with losses, changes the music development and continue, and the next game just covers their expences, cuts down in management, the next game gives a slight income, and after that they make the big cash. This could easily be 10 years.

Not just in the USA but in the rest of the west aswell. Real estate bounce back very slowly...

Furdermore, if one or two of his companies goes bankrupt, then it actually is the correct choise to let them go bankrupt. That means nothing, it is the way of the privat marked, and when you deal as much as Trump, then this is bound to happen. Sometimes the right choice is to go bankrupt, because what once was good business does'nt have to be it today, like his casino which went bankrupt is a good example of.

@Jospehporta That's how the stock marked works. Creditors can't get their money from him as a privat person if the particular company goes bankrupt. I don't know the details of what your talking about, but if a company goes bankrupt, then the leftover values are to pay back the creditors, the rest to the bank. There is alot of buts and ifs here, but if the values can't cover this, then someone who lended the company money will get the bill. This usually goes to court, to determine who gets what.

If you keep going even if you are losing, that's when you fail. Then it's about limiting the losses. I don't have to state my privat cv to make my arguments any more valid. Ofcourse, if it's true that he is losing money, and this has happent all the time, then I agree with you. But he has not released his record, so we don't know yet.

@Jospehporta You don't go into business to go bankrupt, but sometimes you do. It's then not about what you want to do, but what you can do. Corporations (stocks) are structured to be a privat unit, and no responcibility is to be shared outside the company's values. This means that if you deal with a company, then you deal with it as a private person. If the private person has no money to pay you back, then you don't get that money, only unpayed dept. This is the risk of accepting credit.

Say if a gaming company produces a videogame, then they spend years producing it, sells a first game, comes out with minor losses, builds the engine furder, sells another game, agains with losses, changes the music development and continue, and the next game just covers their expences, cuts down in management, the next game gives a slight income, and after that they make the big cash. This could easily be 10 years.

Not just in the USA but in the rest of the west aswell. This is because people are hanging on to their wallets, and not buying new houses, etc. The situation in the USA is even more extreme where people actually live together after a divorce because of the financial costs of moving out. Real estate bounce back very slowly...
