The description of the Premier kit is very vague. Does anyone know if it is a "Premier Elite", or "Premier Resonator" (with the inner linings). Externally the 70s Elite and Resonator kit are identical, so it would be helpful to know as the Resonator is warmer, fuller sounding (and louder) due to the double lined shell.

I mean...I know this video is supposed to -promote- their product...and this is how you sample a drum kit - but I can't help but laugh at how much this teeters on being almost comedic around the the 1:50 mark onwards... :-)

That said...could someone give me some tips on how to get a John 'JR' Robinson sounding kit with this, ca "Off The Wall" and "Thriller"?? Or is it even possible?

Too many players & companies go on about maximum drum resonance nowadays, I love that dead short decay drum sound of the snare, toms & bass drum, Al Jackson & Ronnie Tutt spring to mind of this sound, nothing worse than over ringy drums.

@RacManRhythm finally!! someone. I heard they did the best muted snares by placing a wallet on the snare, and when they hit it hard, the wallet jumps up lets some meat through, then falls down and mutes it.
