Either way, I've found the bearings inside the knuckles were binding it, switched them out to the bushings.

mine did that on the exact same side and i found what it was (dont know if same with you. when your looking down on it with the clip facing away and you have the front plate off. just before your left tower make sure the bearing is in the tower, not to the right of it, if that makes sense lol

check and see if there are any loose gears in the front

check your 4wd on ur gen 1 theres probely a loose rod

Dont think so. In the front, it has alloy joint cups and swing arms. So I dont think it's that.
