  • can u make nachos plz

  • What I love about Sorted, is that they never drag the videos out. It's always JUST cooking, from start to finish.

  • quesadillas awesome! add whatever cheese and veggies you want... or just cheese! if u don't have a big pan just fold tortilla over or just cut it up or warm the tortilla on ur stove till its toasty then add cheese and pop in micro...second best thing is corn tortillas yummy! the best cheese would be queso asadero but muenster or mozzarella.. but you can do any cheese a harder cheese will keep it shape and be less melt-y but queso menonito is one of my fave cheeses for quesadillas.

  • How do you cook the chicken with cajun spice?

  • sorted beer! ooh i want some

  • An inside-out pizza is a calzone.

  • @mtktm Surely that's outside in ;-)

  • @mtktm calzone is a folded pizza mate, it's not constructed to be 'inside-out' :)

  • @DrCharlieC I am mistaken. a calzone doesn't have any marinara sauce in it. What i meant was a stromboli.

  • Damn!!!! that looks good. That's it im marrying a chef:-)

  • @sortedfood he must be amazing to have as a mate when you're drunk or hungover and need food

  • watching this as a uni student that has no food in, so jealous!! :(

  • I just made (and ate) this for dinner, directly after watching this vid. Absolute quality! Thanks so much.

I will have to put some in a lunchbox the next time I go on a night out, just as you lot presumably do.

  • "that's a colander you fool" :) 10 points to Ben

  • NIGHT OOOUUUUTTT

    ...in the kitchen. At home.

  • what happened to you ringer let me guess knifes

  • What type of cheese do you prefer for mexican cooking?

  • Hello! I'm feeling a bit deprived right now, because I don't have a pan big enough for the tortilla to fit in! Would I be able to cut the tortillas up into smaller circles and make mini quesadillas? Thanks!

  • @OllyPolly17 ooo yeah they'd be really cool!

  • @sortedfood I tried it out, they were SO good! Thanks again :)

  • @OllyPolly17 Or you could try fajita wraps. They're generally smaller than the tortillas Sorted used.

  • @OllyPolly17 or instead of wasting all that wrap, just cut up into pizza like slices then fry each one seperately..

  • Looks delicious - yum!!! :-)

  • Looks good, but won't the veges be a little under cooked? The mexi restaurant I frequent cooks their veges for like five min or so before adding everything...

  • I had to make these in cooking class when I was in school. I wish it had been made as interesting as this!

  • Did Ben say "To sex things up a little bit" at 2:14 ? Lol.

  • im hungry damnit!!

  • "that's a colander... You fool..." lols

  • I LOVE it! Cooked it for lunch today, it's just so easy and soooooo tasty!!! Big ups !!!

  • Did Ben get his hair cut... SEXY!!! ;)

  • finally found the easiest and quick way to make these, BUUTTT can i add some smoked paprika if my chicked isn't done in something from earlier? i mean it that enough or should i add a few more spices?

  • Looks good. What cheese do you use?

  • @Salsagirl66 All the ingredients are on our website (linked in the description box!)

  • @sortedfood Thanks, already saw that - before I asked the question actually. However, It just says "cheese". Hence my question.....

  • @Salsagirl66 Aha...well in that case...we used cheddar, but you can use any cheese you like!

  • @sortedfood I have an allergy to chicken... what else could I put in?? :)

  • @facehugger111 Absolutely anything you want to put in...what would you usually put on a pizza?

  • @sortedfood Omg my mom makes these and i didnt know these were quesadilla's!

  • @Salsagirl66 ill give you something els that you can use

  • what happend to ur finger?

  • @SweetAuroraxD Nasty knife based accident a while back...we made a video about it called "Why the blue plaster?"

  • @sortedfood did you get a shock when you cut yourself and then feel the pain of you felt both at once? because i was slicing ginger once, and i sliced 2 of my fingers at once when the ginger slipped,,, and i felt shock first... is it weird?

  • oh god WHERE have you guys been all my life

  • @InsaneSouthAsian We've been here waiting for you! :P

  • wait isnt it mexican?

  • What is the difference between the red onion and white onion?

    Does it taste different ??

  • @PinkRock55 Yup they do taste different, both are lovely...red onion also providesa bit more colour as well!!

  • ben, your laugh is adorable<3

  • Ben! ever got comments on the fact that in these 'old' vids and in your 'old' attire (not realy black like the ones you wear nowadays) you're showing quite a bit of sexy chest hair? rrrrraw..

makes me almost forget I'm missing Barry in every vid he's not in..

    -roel

  • like it

  • Hey...where's your hat???? I'm in culinary school right now and they tell us all the time that it's important to always wear something over your head to prevent hair from falling in food.

  • @HeathRose2 In a professional environment it should be done. Bear in mind we're cooking at home with friends :-D

  • @sortedfood Aha! Very clever, well I think you're foods look absolutely delicious and you're doing a fantastic job. Can't wait to see more of your work!

  • @HeathRose2

When your parents cook food at home, do they wear hats? When you're cooking for yourself and friend do you wear a hat? That's kind of ridiculous, it's only important to wear a hat if you work in a restaurant where you serve many people.

  • @PammieChan no but when my mom and i cook we put our hair up to make sure hair doesnt get into food, the main point is nobody wants hair in their food so comment when you have something smart to say.

  • @HeathRose2

Of course no one wants hair :P But putting on a hat isn't the same thing as tying your hair into a ponytail. :)

  • "And inside out pizza" - erm you are thinking of a calzone ...

  • @Fantic1980 calzone is a folded over pizza. it can be a pizza with ingredients sealed between two based. casadilla is an inside out pizza in theory, so it a calzone. what you said is like saying "'control box for your tv' - erm you are thinking of a remote."

  • whenever i heard coriander, I was what is that? Then I realized that it it cilantro. In Texas, we call it cilantro which is what hispanics call it. I didn't even know there was a different name for it....

  • why is ben always wearing a blue band-aid on his finger?

this is like the 6th video i have seen with the little blue band-aid

  • @nikkichin528 Ah, little accident...check out the "why the blue plaster" video explaining why!

  • i made this yesterday for dinner. made my mum take me to the supermarket just to pick up the ingredients! then i made them with her, it was super fun.

  • How did u make the chicken?

  • @Rajan700 We used some leftover chicken...just a chicken breast cooked in cajun spice. Most supermarkets sell this pre-cooked as well if you like?

  • I wanted and I made this meal! :D

  • nothing can replace the pringles .

  • Poor chef!! what happend 2 ur finger ;P

  • Ben do you cut ur finger a lot because I see that blue tape on ur finger a lot in these older videos

  • @narutodemonfox14 lol... year a lot of the older videos! I had a pretty bad accident with a knife... took a month or two to grown back! :S

  • quesadilla = spanish for "a wotsit"

  • Maybe community channel should ask to do LAMMINGTONS. >:|

  • @Caitarian She should know by now that we are not ones to take broken promises very lightly. =P

  • I see that Jamie Oliver cookbook on your shelf! Is he an inspiration/influence for your career?

  • @TheRealityTVAddict Definitely! One of the best... love his cookbooks!

  • could this go to the oven instead?

  • @misssy86 If you put them straight on to a shelf in a really hot oven then that'll crisp them up well too! :D

  • hey ben! I've been looking at the old videos, and I realised you have a badge with an S on it but the later videos have 'sorted' printed on your chef's uniform :)

    just a random ramble. haha

    cheers from Singapore! :)

  • @beatty1105 Yeah... we only got the jackets later on! :D

  • "it's a colander you fool."

  • If you guys ever make it to Chicago, let us know! We'd love to do a segment with you!

  • @TheFoodChannel We'll bear that in mind... sounds good!

  • i have never liked cooking and resented cookbooks but thanks to sorted i actually like it and i am buying the cookbook :D

  • @HyperActiveSkittles That's what we like to hear... surrendering to existing thoughts and giving it a go! With a bit of luck you'll actually enjoy it! :p

  • @sortedfood with a bit of luck i'll not burn the kitchen down :D

  • why does he always have that blue band aid?

  • Def. making this with soy "meat" since I'm a veggie.

  • I ALWAYS BURN MY QUESADILLAS D:

  • @pockyprincess12 haha oh dear! Don't let your pan get so hot, cook it slow and steady so the cheese has time to melt inside.

  • @sortedfood i shall try to remember that : 3

    thankiess

by the way you guys are awesome <3

  • What happened to that guy that's in none of your videos now?

  • Aghhh i love these recipes! that looks SO yummy! Do want!

  • is the cook related to louis theroux?

  • I wouldnt trust those other guys touchin the food if i were to eat it!

  • His blue band-aid made him look particularly adorable in this one...

  • So...hungry. Need... chicken quesadillas!

  • I just tried this today. It was delicious. Way better than chips as a snack.

  • So *that* is what a quesadilla is. Thanks, Captain Chesthair!

  • what type of cheese do you guys use???

  • @SuperFreshCookies this was a mix of cheddar and mozzarella (cheddar for flavour and mozzarella for a stringy texture)

  • @sortedfood hmm tyvm!

  • god im hungry.

  • its not the seeds that are hot in peppers *smartarse look*

  • do you have a recipe for that chicken? it looked reallllly good

  • om nom nom

  • it's 3:49 am and i am now officially hungry

  • "Thats a Colander you fool" lol

I tried making this a couple of days ago and I loved it, only I added 2 anchovies and I forgot not everyone likes them. My bad! : )

Amazing, I wish I knew how to make this years ago it's so quick and easy, thanks.

  • One thing that I should mention: at least here in the US, "coriander" is a spice derived from the seeds of the plant, "cilantro" is an herb derived from the leaves of the same plant. What is incredible is the difference in flavor between the two. Cilantro has this very nice, parsley flavor to it (well it's from the same family of plant), but coriander has this slightly peppery but very citrus flavor. I've been known to put ground coriander on a slice of bread with butter.

  • 2.15, does Ben say 'sex things up?' :o

  • I usually put some hot pineapple salsa in the quesadilla before I put it into the pan. It's amazing.

  • Gotta try that tomorrow! :p

  • ok now....hmmm...that looks delicious !

  • could i use my own custom toppings from waitrose

  • @cutecupcake76 no he said spice things up a bit haha :)

  • my brother nd I have always grown up saying (kay-sa-de-ya) as (qua-si-dill-a) hahah ilove it!!!

  • That's lunch sorted! ;)

  • what happend with john?

  • did he say sex things up a bit lol?

  • i have a question I have noticed that in alot of your videos you tape you finger. Why?

  • @sarabesm I am from america but my mother was born and raised in mexico. You can make it both ways i think it depends from what region you are from. But yes I think think the bend is the way the majority makes a quesdilla it just seems more authentic but the two torillas seem okay if you are sharing with friends. The bend is more for individual servings if you want to look at it from that perspective.

  • I was wondering if you guys to do a few quick, easy and healthy after school snacks. I'm in high school so i'm always looking for something simple that i can just find the ingredients for around the house. :) Thanks!

    -Heather

  • what happened to ur finger?

  • can u guys do a how to on ravioli?

  • I would really like to try this, however, i'm not a fan a vegetables, but I would like something to spice it up. Does anybody have any suggestions of things like chilli powder, or just something that could give it a bit of a kick?

I was thinking of trying it with cheese, pepperoni, salami or chicken inside, so anything that would go well with those would be much appreciated :).

  • @ChocolateBar1234 It really is up to you mate... whatever you love on a pizza works well in here. A few slithers of chilli (or chilli powder) and plenty of cheese! :D

  • @sortedfood Thanks for the quick reply, will definitely give this ago! :)

  • @ChocolateBar1234 My mom is from mexico and we use traditionally Habenero and jalapeno very thinly sliced if you cut it just right you should not notice it in all the cheese but still get that nice kick of heat. never had a Quesdilla with pepperoni or Salami though but good luck.

  • could you doa a sweet version for a dessert??

  • @ABI11295 not excatly what you might be looking looking for but I'll give this a shot. My family is from mexico and sometimes we make a sort of peanut butter and jelly quesadilla like your standard sandwich but spread on a tortillas instead and cooked until melted to perfection. if that's not what you are looking for try using some of those italian dessert cheese and add some chopped up finely or thinly fruit perhaps strawberries and mango and other berries? And some sugar powder to top it off.

  • @ABI11295 oh also if you do not want to try or can not find the cheese(because I forgot the name of the cheese sorry!) You could try some marshmallows(or marshmallow spread) and a good berry jam or jelly can be a delicious filling as well maybe even some drizzled chocolate of your liking or nutella...the options are endless! hope it comes out good and have fun!

  • @NightLitStar thanks so much i have friends coming over in the summer and im doing mexican wraps and i wanted to do some thing similar for dessert sopmehting they could put togther themselves thankyou :D and it sounds yummy marshmallows and jelly :P

  • @ABI11295 You're welcome C: hope it comes out great

  • I wish sooo badly that y'all could be my cooks... Looks great!

  • Just made this except I cooked some onions and peppers and threw a strained can of chopped tomatoes and then some reggae reggae sauce. Then just threw that in seperatly. Possible the tastiest thing Iv ever made

  • I am officially addicted to this show.

  • how is this guys eyes not burning when he cuts the onion!?

  • @ponkkoable Using very sharp knife on a cold onion greatly reduces the eye burning chemicals released into the air. Also, as soon as you slice an onion in half, turn the sliced halves flat against the cutting board.

  • @ponkkoable you get used to it

  • Quesadillas are perhaps the ultimate late night stoner meal.

  • @ZombiedustXXX FACT!!!

  • @ZombiedustXXX Stoner? is that speaking from expierence?

  • Kwes-ah-dill-ahs

  • How come you called the Cilantro.. Coriander?? Isn't Coriander the seed of the Cilantro?

  • What is sour cream? If this is a dumb question I'm sorry but I'm not from an english speaking country xd

  • @Milenita2293 Sour cream can be bought as a product itself... but you can also make your own. Take regular cream and add a little lemon juice, salt and pepper. The acid in the lemon makes the cream go sour. Simple as that. Very refreshing for dip when mixed with grated cheese and/or chopped chives

  • @Milenita2293 According to my google translator, sour cream is crema agria. ;)

  • @Milenita2293 Try "crema agria". ;)

  • @Milenita2293 Sour Cream is like plain yoghurt, whether greek or other commercial brands.

  • i tried with brie cheese, chicken, sun dried tomatoes and arugula. Oh so delicious!

  • @MorgyBlack Wow... good combination! *tummy rumbles!

  • It is 2:44am here in Liverpool, i should sleep for college tomorrow..but to be honest guys, you people are too amazing to watch. I can't decide what to have for tea tonight... maybe the sweet and sour chicken..

  • Questions;

    1. Can I replace Cajun chicken breast with plain grilled one?

    2. What kind of cheese you use? Can it be any cheese?

  • @aifaasmith The chicken they used in the vid was a left over from another meal, any chicken will be fine, and any cheese of your choice

  • @MJG9268 We have no plans to stop! :D

Plenty more to come right through 2011!

  • Just cooked this for some uni friends. It went down a treat. Any tips on the flipping process though. Because of the content it was quite hard to flip.

  • @RamblingPanda Glad they liked it! If the pan isn't too hot, then the cheese should already have started to melt before the underside burns and you need to turn it over. The partially melted cheese makes the flip a lot easier as it is all held together.

  • @RamblingPanda try doing it the more common way my bending a single tortilla over itself like a taco. hope this helps

  • @NightLitStar Thats a great tip. Thanks for that :)

  • omggg you guys make me so hungry :(

  • Your videos are beautifully edited!

  • what happened to his fingerr?
