The pianist played quite many wrong notes. I also prefer the version of Jonathan Cohler, better interpretation, more colours and sensitivity and better pianist. But still, here they played pretty well too.
Sorry but is she using the Boosey and Hawkes 2001 edition of this work which is packed with errors ? There are some left out dynamics here and she plays bar 8 after rehearsal mark G wrong. I should be g# eight note, eight note rest then a new slur on the doted quarter note e. For a much better version of this piece here on Youtube I would recommend Jonathan Cohler.
wrong notes? I guess it is just because you can differentiate 2 notes at a time with your limited music ear. He is one of the best pianists in the world..
It wasn't so much wrong notes, as not perfectly rehersed. The clarinet & piano were off of one another on occasion, which definitely makes it sound like the piano is playing wrong notes, even if it's not.
Putting this piece together is ridiculously hard though, so if they didn't reherse it a LOT, then it's not going to sound perfect.
I do think the piano missed a couple notes though, but it's been awhile since I looked at the music and listened to a studio recording.
LOL :) just listen to Fazıl Say when he is performing Turkish March. Then you will understand who you are criticising.. He is considered among the best few pianists in the earth today.

They were not together...such a pity cos her sound is liquid!! Greatest sound in the world! Her Weber's and Debussy is unsurpassable
