Best band in the world. Why? Because they had two of the 5 best songwriter's of the 60s in the SAME group! lol. The other 3 being Bob Dylan, Brian Wilson and Burt Bacharach. Lots of others were very great, no doubt. But I don't think any others were as special as those 5. And none being better than the other. The two words I want to say about the songwriters of the 60s is THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
@wilsondylanmccartney , Beatles, Dylan, Wilson, Bacharach ARE the great 60s pantheon, without doubt, but don't forget Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, and Jimi Hendrix (great songwriter he was), as well. After all, Dylan, the Beatles, and Wilson all gave their brown-eyed brothers-in-arms their due!
