@soul111smasher The only one i can recommend more would be the Natchez bowie in sk-5. But be aware, the handle on the laredo is very, very slick and if your hand gets sweaty, you will not be able to purchase a good grip on it. Bicycle tire tubing will help this.
I was going to get a san mai III one for granduation, but im not sure yet. how much farther can it be pushed than the carbon version? is it worth the extra money? i have the carbon V version and love the thing. ps was that your trusty raja II in your pocket? my friend is getting me a large espada and i feel better about the lock. i cant wait until he gets back this spring...
@ColdSteelcollecter if you want to actually use the knife, you're better off with a real outdoor knife that has a full tang, like the fallkniven a1 or a2. those bowes have a really thing tang and will eventually fail if you pound on them.
love it but several complants stained blade the day i got it sheathe fucked the blade up scratched to absolute hell absolute horrible sheath but great non the less my only real complant that they dont understand is you cannot use this as a fighter u need 2 hands to remove it from the sheath because its so tight so the sharp falce edge is useless as a result this is damn hard to split wood with other kinves i have no problem hitting the end and spliting large chunks
wood but with the edge you cannot try to remove the blade and go through batoning sticks like crazy there is a reason why nobody has sharp false edges because they SUCK in the field and as great a knife as this is i could never take this as the only knife because the sharp edge is so detremental but other than that i cut so many branches and split wood yet could still shave minus one flaw and some cosmetics that make no field difference the sk5 is an amazing knife
@metalhead192 Must you plauge youtube commentary with your stupidity? It seems like that once it comes out of your mouth it just seeps into the video and becomes an intelligence predator, hunting down and destroying all signs of intelligence and barring all hope of learning.
the Laredo is more of a fighter but the trail master is a real wilderness blade.
