Do they not let you go into the quarries etc these days? Seems like 50 quid to drive on gravel tracks is a bit steep... I could only see a couple of sections where the track looked even moderately muddy. I'm pleased that they bother to arrange this but I could spend 50 quid on diesel and go do a million green lanes that'll be more challenging than what this appeared to be? Value for money?
The quarry is out of bounds at the moment due to nesting Osprey.
The day is not about challenging driving but getting into areas of the forest you would never normally get too and taking in the views.
