  • When you flashed the map of the world whereTrevor Paglen had done his investigating it seemed that New Zealand was not there. I was wondering if the whole of the country is a blank spot or it is all clear of yankee hell holes. I wonder what other countries were missing from the map!

  • I think you should post a video in an evening gown and let us be the judge. ;)

  • MILF!!!!!!!!!!!!! id hit that

  • I've noticed that on Google Earth. There are places which you cannot see properly because they're camouflaged or coloured out. Many of these places are high up in mountain ranges. It's really weird because the surrounding, lower lying areas are perfectly clear, yet the tops of these mountains appear unnaturally blurred.

  • Wow you're beautiful ! You could definately rock a Wonder Woman outfit !

OH, and I like your book !

  • you rock !

  • dear joanne...(you are very cute!)...the pentagon digs deep underground ...and underwater!..(also study antarctica!) .nasa+jpl edit the apollo photos and maps of the moon and mars..."the truth is out there!" / @ milwaukee

  • I just finished reading this fine book by this semi-local geographer. I agree with Joanne that I would've liked to see a few more maps. But, it actually wasn't necessary. I've been eating up all the info and history in this book as well as History Channel's different documentaries have been saying about places like "Dugway Proving Grounds". This book brought up how the CIA was voted into existance by Congress without them even being able to read the entire bill. As most of it was classified.

  • Sounding smarter than Denise Richards isn't much of a challenge; you two aren't even in the same league.

What we need is a female mad-scientist/supervillain. We don't have enough of those!

  • Hmm, be hard for me to take on that role, unless I want to tap the dark side in some cathartic therapy!! ;-)

  • I'm sure you'd look gorgeous in an evening gown.

Something that glitters, backless, with long black velvet gloves that complement your hair. Perfect for playing poker in Monte Carlo. :)

  • Sounds lovely. Definitely considering the female Q role. Been quite sad since he's been gone, they need a smart replacement. And they definitely need to bring back more gadgets!

  • I actually prefer this more elemental, back-to-basics Bond myself. But if there's something the Bond franchise could never have enough of, it's beautiful women with gadgets!

  • I've really enjoyed the action sequences in the last two Bond movies, but still felt a bit cheated without the tech gadgets!

  • I caught this book yesterday at B&N. I'm also a geography professional currently enrolled in a geospatial intelligence course. I can't wait to get finish it. And the book.

    Thanks for the review!

  • Did I hear Bond girl? Perfect starring role... can't wait to hear the name of your character based on past Bond history.

Your book review thoughts on government secrets reminded me of an Onion article titled: "CIA Realizes It's Been Using Black Highlighters All These Years"

ps. Previous comment apologies. I assumed profile replied comments would appear in email like video comment replies do. Apparently not. Thanks for letting me know.

  • The Onion cracks me up. I like that title, so appropriate for this book!

I would insist on being a scientist Bond girl....the only way to go.

  • A female Q? There's a role for the scientist in you...

Unless of course, you'd like your character to come out in action figurine form rather than with white lab coat.

  • A female Q would be perfect!!
