Pac-man on the atari 2600 was an incomplete prototype that was rushed to stores. Comes to find out, that game was the biggest piece of shit i've ever seen. Pac-man faces like 1 direction during the whole time, he can't look up or down, the god awful level start music is nothing like pac-man at all.

I love how these games look on XBOX 360 today on Live Arcade, but you can't play half those games with an XBOX controller. I picked up an arcade joystick controller for XBOX 360 by Madcatz but it was god-awful. Does anyone know a good authentically arcade-like controller for XBOX 360 that doesn't cost a fortune, and even has a dial ocntroller?? I mean Game Room on XBOX 360 sells Warlord and Atari Kaboom and expects you to play them with a xbox controller!! INSULTING MY INTELLIGENCE!

For a 2600, the graphics are superb. Just the fact that it's a Pacman game makes that all the more enjoyable for the player. I love this game right now i only got 6 games for my Atari 2600. Space invaders and Ms. Pacman are my next choices to add to my collection

Technically this is a lot better then Pac-Man for Atari 2600. The fruit looks like fruit and the lives counter has mini Ms Pac Man instead of green squares representing lives and gone is the annoying sound of Pac-Man eating the dots.

I used to love this port, but not anymore. Sure it looks good, but the ghosts move so s-l-o-w that it's way too easy (and boring). It should have the label "For kids 10 and under". The Arcade version is much faster and aimed towards adults.

The best version for Atari VCS/ 2600 is Jr. Pac-Man which is difficult enough to challenge even skilled gamers.

It's amazing how playable this game is in comparison to the earlier Atari version of Pac-man. The graphics in many ways were similar between the two, but the 2600 ms. pac-man had so many more of the proper elements in tact. I'm curious if they had attempted it if a "not screwed up" version of Pac-man would have been viable. Like a Pac-man Gold or something as an apology for the first.

Collectors have already produced a Pac-Man by hacking the Ms. Pac-Man ROM. Unfortunately, while it looks great, it plays horribly (too easy and the ghosts are dumb as dirt).

while the game play is similar Mrs. Pac-man like most sequals improved on the orginal, the power pellet effects wore off quicker, the ghost monsters moved faster and had more challenging patterns as well as indivudal charecteristics, plus the boards actually changed unlike in pac-man where all the levels were just the same board with faster enemies and less power-up times.
