Then these particles began to collide which caused the universe to expand rapidly and cool. This expanding universe is what we have today. That is pure nonsense. You don't just start orbiting randomly at a certain altitude. You need angular velocity. Low Earth-orbiting satellites are in a continuous free fall around Earth at 5 miles per second (18,000 mph). If the astronauts aboard the ISS were not moving, they would still weigh about 90 percent as much as they do on Earth.

you still have to take into account that he jumped from a weather balloon and not a space shuttle traveling at thousands of miles per hour....there's a big difference. This doesn't prove that ejection seats should be used on a shuttle.

Sure, he wasn't out of the atmosphere, but even at 100,000 feet, a person could not survive for more than a few seconds without a pressure suit. At 63,000 ft, your sweat, tears, and saliva boil away...and you die within seconds from ebullism and asphyxiation.
