  • What a loss. Was such a great showman.

  • it means a pigeon lmfao

  • just became a fan of marty robbins i think he can sing anything he put his mind too

  • This is beautiful and there is no doubt Marty is a fantastic singer. Marty is my mother's (84, born 11 days before Marty) favourite singer and La Paloma was my father's favourite song (he even used to keep white doves). I have shown this to my mother and she would really like to see/hear the English version promised in then video, does anybody have it or can you tell me where to get it please? Regards

    Ian

  • Makes a woman sigh. Not only a song writer, but what a spirit in his singing.

Thank you for sharing this treasure.

  • Soooooo soothing.

  • So peaceful, soothing. Exquisite. The only other to approach this is Julio.

  • Music, like poetry, is best appreciated in its original language. Think of Edgar Allen Poe's Annabelle Lee In English. Now try to translate that and what do you come up with.

  • Awesome!

  • yes the world lost Elvis the king of music, the gretaes entertainer ever.... would have been nice to see them both together...

  • @EMAARDUBAI Sorry to burst your bubble but Elvis was never king of anything, Marty, W. Nelson, J. Cash, Tom T. Hall, W. Jennings, K. Kristofferson left him standing. He just happened to be around when teenagers had some spare cash & wanted to be different to their parents.

  • Wether in Spanish or English, Marty's voice is unsurpassed, undoubtedly. BRAVO!

  • Does anyone have the English version of this song? I would love to hear it. I am certain Marty did an excellent job of it.

  • Marty Robbins was a genius, great video

  • for you guitar fans, he's tuned his 3rd string to G-sharp.

  • Beautiful version by Marty Robbins, this song never ages.

  • When I left Havana nobody saw me go

But my little gaucho maid who loves me so

She came down the pathway following after me

That same little gaucho maid that I longed to see

If at your window you see a gentle dove

Treat it with care and welcome it there with love

It may be so I do not deny its glee

Crown it with flowers grant love its hours for me

  • This is unreal are you sure, I guess you would know thanks lots of us Metis Canadian folk would not have got that ,Love it.

  • La Paloma won first prize in the contest for the best song when all countries had some kind of contest for music many ears ago.

  • Beautiful Marty.xxxx (thank you loc139).

Love from Spain to all Marty Robbins fans everywhere.

  • There was two of many great singer's that I wish could have sat with just two or three instruments and just traded songs and talked and had been recorded on film.

    That was Marty & Elvis.

They both could sing just about anything.

What a treat that would have been if it had been 3 hours long.

  • I fully agree. What a tragedy that Elvis died so soon. He loved Marty Robbins, and as you say; think of the prospect of having these guys singing and harmonizing for hours.

  • Fantastic -- 5 stars! Do you have the rest of it in English?

  • nolarae1929 had liked music to song,then latr heard words,re:the dove,sad. kept waiting for marty to sing in english,[but not on this recording. [LaPaloma}

  • Gracias desde España.Marty Robbins I Love you Forever.Thanks loc139

  • FABULOUS! But I really wish the entire clip could be posted as Marty singing the song in English is outta this world, too..
