Never got the chance to meet my Choctaw Great Grandmother. My Grandmother was 1/2 Choctaw and we Grandchildren are 1/8 blood. Our Parents hid our Choctaw heritage do to the times back in 1950-60s. Back then you were either called Okies or halfbreed.... But now we are all grown up and are proud of our heritage! One thing I did learn is that the Choctaws were first to be moved off their lands why before the Cherokees! The trail of tears was beget by the Choctaws first!
This wad awesome. I wish there was more of the native American culture out there. We have a Native American museum here but nothing beats a live performance.
This is so beautiful. My fathers side of my family is Choctaw, and I never learned how to speak the language. I am in middle school and trying very hard to learn it. :)
My GG Grandfather was Choctaw. THIS IS IMPRESSIVE! I wonder if the Major Baseball league would permit this Princess to sing the National Anthem at the opening game of the World Series sometimes. WOW!!!!!
I loved this. Thank you. My grandfather never learned Choctaw from his grandmother, so for my family the language is lost. It was beautiful to hear it this way.

Thank you so much for posting. It's gorgeous to hear the language of my ancestors. Nobody in my family knows it anymore.
