This really does fit Anemone, she is one the most troubled characters in the whole show. I really wish that they didn't stop this show, I have seen the movie and was slightly disappointed with the changes. I would have liked to see Holland and Talho's baby. They never say anything about it, outside of it being the child of Holland and Talho's. To me the show feels unfinished. But that is just me, anyways good video.

yeah, the english has been around for some time, I actually used to watch it when it used to be on TV in Canada (then they stopped airing anime, but whatever.)
The AMV is very simple, but it is matched and placed fairly well with the song. I think it complements Anemone's circumstances wonderfully. It's a new perspective of her tragic character.
The whole thing is quite beautiful in a very touching, ,melancholy way. Thank-you for sharing.
Renton was immature goofy and not even in a funny anime kid way, it was just kind of sad, who stuffs their face when they're confronted by thoughts I myself usually can't eat, that kid was a real slub. If it were circled around Anemone + Dominic for couple stuff, and then Gekko for story stuff I would have enjoyed it more. I honestly couldn't stand Renton's whiny gutlessness, what kind of relationship is that.
@niedude actually the original version...i think it's by tears For Fears...is really upbeat and 80's-ish. but instead of ruining the song it makes it creepier.

It's fine to have an opinion not liking dubs. That's a personal choice. I happen to like both sub and dub, and for any series I tend to check out both if available. For E7, I like the dub better, the subbers didn't really do a consistent job on E7, changing names from 1 ep to the next. E7 has a good dub.
But to go out and just attack something just because it is a dub is just plain stupid, and feigns of ignorance.

Well, it's unknown what she was like before she got to the army, but being the pilot of the Type TheEnd involves taking that drug regularly. The drug itself calms Anenome down, but also makes her feel easier when killing. Her craziness and agression might be either a side effect of the addiction, or just her own personality(but after she gets together with dominic, she is not crazy anymore)
Also: Donnie Darko has great music. Everyone should like it:)

Kinda sad that in the E7 movie they only touched on her a bit. She was important, but not nearly as much as she was in the series. Then again it was a new story line.
I wish she had gotten more screen time Anemone was by far one of the most interesting characters....i wish we had learned more about her in a less vague way...

honestly i thought making her ambiguous made her more interesting. it let her be someone who no one could really predict. but yes i would have wanted her to have more screen time. also what does it matter what her past is if she doesn't remember it? my guess is that if she was to learn it she would most likely just freak out sort of like Lucy in Elfen Lied
When i say I wnt ot know her past, I wish they had done some "flashback" type scenes as to how she was brought in to being who she is....how the experiments on her went etc. .....if she doesnt know thats fine...i just wish they had given the audience a better view of her....i think shes great as is...but i think it would add a dynamic aspect to know her history or who she was..and see how she has changed. ..she is quite a sad story...poor girl :[

Yeah...they completely changed basically every single character and plot. And not just their backgrounds, but their whole personalities are changed in many cases.
I really did not care for the movie. Even trying to watch it with an open mind, and trying to accept the changes, the movie just seems poorly paced and somewhat rushes through the plot at times. And some of the changes to characters (Hap & Stoner...WTF??) while other fairly important characters in the series are deleted entirely.

@GeneralJelly in a way it is a contiuation. when renton and eureka's emotions were permanantly engraved in nirvash's compac, it left with other scub coralalians such as renton's sister, adrock rentons dad and gonzi (the creepy old guy that appears from nowhere). where they went is a parrallel universe where they were to wait for some evolution to occur where they could live . and doesnt parrallel mean opposite so the characters are as well. great video soz 4 spelling and if this sarcastic tone.
@ChaChaOfTheAcornMask right on most parts, parallel however (just to make clear not to be an asshole) is more along the lines of 2 things that go the same way at the same rate but never intersect, like lines on a graph with the same slope but different y-intercepts :)
The movie is so different from the series that they really have no relation at all. If you watch the movie, you basically need to forget everything you saw in the series.

Excellent portrayal of Anemone's character with the song, and the opening clip. There were a few things I thought could be done, like when the teacher line comes up, a different shot of the Captain, and/or Anemone in a more volatile/submissive position/expression. Great for your second AMV though.

honestly i thought making her ambiguous made her more interesting. it let her be someone who no one could really predict. but yes i would have wanted her to have more screen time. also what does it matter what her past is if she doesn't remember it? my guess is that if she was to learn it she would most likely just freak out sort of like Lucy in Elfen Lied

When i say I wnt ot know her past, I wish they had done some "flashback" type scenes as to how she was brought in to being who she is....how the experiments on her went etc. .....if she doesnt know thats fine...i just wish they had given the audience a better view of her....i think shes great as is...but i think it would add a dynamic aspect to know her history or who she was..and see how she has changed. ..she is quite a sad story...poor girl :[

@avatarfan22122 Can't agure there. She was turly an interesting character. What the creators of Eureka 7 should have done was a prequal to the series, show what Anemone's life was like before the show's beginning. That would have been an interesting show to watch. I know i would have tuned in.

Yeah...they completely changed basically every single character and plot. And not just their backgrounds, but their whole personalities are changed in many cases.
I really did not care for the movie. Even trying to watch it with an open mind, and trying to accept the changes, the movie just seems poorly paced and somewhat rushes through the plot at times. And some of the changes to characters (Hap & Stoner...WTF??) while other fairly important characters in the series are deleted entirely.

@GeneralJelly in a way it is a contiuation. when renton and eureka's emotions were permanantly engraved in nirvash's compac, it left with other scub coralalians such as renton's sister, adrock rentons dad and gonzi (the creepy old guy that appears from nowhere). where they went is a parrallel universe where they were to wait for some evolution to occur where they could live . and doesnt parrallel mean opposite so the characters are as well. great video soz 4 spelling and if this sarcastic tone.

@ChaChaOfTheAcornMask right on most parts, parallel however (just to make clear not to be an asshole) is more along the lines of 2 things that go the same way at the same rate but never intersect, like lines on a graph with the same slope but different y-intercepts :)

The movie is so different from the series that they really have no relation at all. If you watch the movie, you basically need to forget everything you saw in the series.

Excellent portrayal of Anemone's character with the song, and the opening clip. There were a few things I thought could be done, like when the teacher line comes up, a different shot of the Captain, and/or Anemone in a more volatile/submissive position/expression. Great for your second AMV though.

Do you mean like when we first see Norb the subbers called him "Volve?" Or how they call the scub 3 different things because they couldn't figure it out? Or how they misspell Renton's name as "Thorston?" Subs are always 100% accurate, right?
The dub may not be perfect, but subs aren't so perfect either.
