Proof: He was stabbed.... with a sword... and then bleed to death in front of his sister and a crowd of people.

The anime was epic for its ending; while it is appreciated that everyone loves the character, it would really just ruin the anime if he was in fact alive.

The reason Mao died was because C.C. never transferred her immortality to him. Therefore, he was able to die.

Lelouch must be still alive, the geass made him immortal, he even told Suzaku to kill him, no one would do that unless it was fake, in this case it is, Lelouch wanted all the hatred to end, he wanted peace through out the land, that is why he faked his death, he is still alive but... not sure about another series though, i hope there is.

I dont think Lelouch is dead. Remember the last scene where C2 is riding on top of the hay in the cart? Then it shows only the mouth of the driver as he cracks a smile. I think that was Lelouch.
