the ws6 was slow/bad driver (no offense towards him) i have a 00 ws6 with just full exhaust and bolt ons and 3.70 gears, and i keep dead even with my friends 03 lighting and hes got 6LB boost pulley,bigger TB and intake and cat back, the ws6 took off way slow
@Dodgeman824 They run around the same 1/4 mile.. The WS6 (if its a newer LS1) is like maybe point 2 or 3 seconds faster.. it all depends on the driver. so its more than a fair race!
@Dodgeman824 you dont know much about superchargers do you? if the ws6 was supercharged, then the owner would have around 5-10+ thousand dollars less in is pocket. That includes anything from s/c, injectors, valve springs, fuel pump, boost gauge, timing chain, pushrods, headbolts, clutch, wideband o2 sensor, tune, etc. All this just to beat a truck???
@Dodgeman824 If the ls1 decides to cheap out and leave the engine stock with the supercharger, then the ws6 would break down starting with their weak 10 bolt rear end, followed by the engines rod bolts and ringland (especially cylinder #7) Pistons might also crack and youre gonna mess up the valves. Youre better off camming an ls1 than F/I.
But then again a simple pulley and tune will make the lightning much quicker. Why do you think a termi is such a beast? its all in potential dude.
