Sad to see nothing has changed. In the 12 yrs since I left FDNY bureau of EMS. The red headed step child that responds to over 3 million calls a yr. In NYC. I commented in a book published 12 yrs ago called Disposable Heroes. How cool the firemen looked as they pulled away having never even made patient contact. As our ambulance arrived. 300lb carry down BLS help no firemen in sight. This is typical and yes there was much resentment among the senior medics.
