supercharger vs turbo is not exactly a fair deal, seeing as how the lightining has instant boost, the cummins has to build up to get full on power. @JoeyJokester11 I had a 03 duramax that was tuned pushing 383 to the wheels the thing was a big fukin POS. a lightning still beat me in a quater cause there is no substitute for power to wieght ratio. You would have to double the HP of a duramax to make up the difference of weight between a 3/4 ton and a single cab swb 1/2ton to even be comparable. Lightning is a 13.8 truck stock with maybe 280 to the wheels! My truck tuned was 14.3 with 383. No your facts little man!

You drop heads, cams, headers with full exhaust, CAI and a tuner, the ls1 is in the 12's with about 400hp to the wheels, a diesel would have to put 800 or more to get in the 12's. I am going to say this one more time POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO every 100lbs is a tenth of a sec in the quater mile!

Light duty 1500 with a little 318 versus a light duty f150 5.4L supercharged...at least the lightning has some legit power, and id be impressed if that setup on that dodge could actually tow 20K to begin with, i doubt it can. Towing has alot to do with the person knowing how to load the trailer properly. If the dodge really CAN tow more, i doubt its THAT much more.

I bet my left nut that the Cummins is not anywhere near 225hp. No one has a Cummins with stacks without doing anything to the motor. Plus, there is way too much smoke coming out of that Dodge for it to be stock. Those old pre 98 Cummins were easily modified with a turn of a screw and a little know how to get them cranking out serious horsepower.

@JoeyJokester11 I had a 03 duramax that was tuned pushing 383 to the wheels the thing was a big fukin POS. a lightning still beat me in a quater cause there is no substitute for power to wieght ratio. You would have to double the HP of a duramax to make up the difference of weight between a 3/4 ton and a single cab swb 1/2ton to even be comparable. Lightning is a 13.8 truck stock with maybe 280 to the wheels! My truck tuned was 14.3 with 383. No your facts little man!

But do a quater mile run, and they will kill a duramax unless it has a full billet tranny to handle the pwr, injectors, methanol injection, tuner, exhaust, CAI, and an aftermarket turbo to get better boost!

You drop heads, cams, headers with full exhaust, CAI and a tuner, the ls1 is in the 12's with about 400hp to the wheels, a diesel would have to put 800 or more to get in the 12's. I am going to say this one more time POWER TO WEIGHT RATIO every 100lbs is a tenth of a sec in the quater mile!
