  • Glenn should be in the RnR HoF!

  • I owned that tape about thirty years ago.

  • Glenn is a family friend (: he's my dad's best friend and i get to hang out with him and his new band ; they are amazing and i love them all <3

oh and btw, i'm only fourteen ! ha, hate on that :P lmao, jk. but yes, they are great !

  • @qabzterz Dude, ask your Uncle Glenn who that gorgeous woman is in this film clip. She's got to be the most stunning thing I've seen in a one piece swim suit!

  • they rock!

  • sorrry i just said new band and i totally know its not a new band!

  • So excited Glen is coming out with a new Band!! Now if only Pat Thrall would play again!

  • tHis is so weird. How do u listen to it... U R HORRIBLE

  • A.O.R

  • This is such a great track. Hughes/Thrall has always been one of my all time favourites.

  • badass vocalist and bass player!

  • 80s crap

  • Wow. I accidentally stumbled across this. I remember it from years ago. What absolute crap. Completely devoid of feeling, soul, meaning...pity.

  • @tom66joad you are absolute crap.

A reason as to why glenn hughes is known as the voice of rock. He has almost too much emotion in his voice;)

  • @leppardsnake It takes all kinds of people, to make up this world.

This music sucked, even in the 80's, but society needs douche bags who like this kind of crap.

  • @tom66joad indeed it does.

Dont agree that it does.. go look at something you enjoy then :)

all people that likes this are douche bags?

  • @tom66joad You're nothing but an ignorant cock-sucker. Now piss off and go listen to your Justin Bieber CDs...

  • @Thirdgen83 I do not really know who this Bieber guy is. That is something more in the realm of Hughes/Thrall. It sounds like your poor little butt is hurting a lot - perhaps you should rub some Neutrogena on it.

  • @tom66joad Hey, just because your mother is addicted to Crack, and likes having sex with black guys for beer-money, that's no reason to talk your shit to me. You're obviously a musical illiterate, and a Internet keyboard-warrior. Basically, a LOSER...

  • @Thirdgen83 You are a fan of this crap. Nuff said about your musical opinion. However, you really might want to consult your therapist about your hatred of women, hatred of racial minorities, and your homophobia.

  • Comment removed

  • @Thirdgen83 How can you honestly make comments like that, given what you listen to?

Anyway, I am through playing, seeing as how you got short-changed in the brain department. Go yell at the clouds like Grandpa Simpson.

  • @tom66joad Yeah, whatever. You are "through playing" because you got OWNED. Plain & simple...

  • @Thirdgen83 Oh, right. You have just overwhelmed me with your stunning brilliance. It is not because I have better things to do than have petty arguments with a hapless douche bag. I am going to spend this day with my children - enjoy your productive day of trolling. (And do consider seeing that therapist.)

  • @tom66joad

    Like I said......OWNED,

  • sem duvidas de comentarios isto é estupidamente lindo..glenn thrall

  • Awesome voice over all...pop-rock, call it what you want, it was still better than Yes' 80's stuff with Trevor Rabies.

  • Love this old school video and they were #1 live . 1983.

  • Hughes ; Superb most underrated rock vocalist .

    Thrall =most underrated rock guitarist

One of the best albums of the eighties period!!!!!

  • Great song, great album!

  • Journey wannabees

  • @flowerdrop1 Glenn Hughes can sing rings around Steve Perry and has been doing it for a lot longer

  • Comment removed

  • @steveevh1 Perry better at ballads?? dude, Glenn is the white voice of Soul, he EXCELS at ballads. Perry is best at classic rock (Separate Ways is awesome)

  • @j800r All I am trying to say is that they are both brilliant. I am a very good guitar player and a decent singer but I would give up everything to have a voice like either of those guys. I love Glenn Hughes, Stevie Wonder said that Glenn is his favorite white singer, But I love Steve P as well. Check out the version of Coast to Coast by Trapeze, it is better than the Hughes Thrall version. Keep the Faith man XX

  • @j800r They are completely different man cummon. They are both totally brilliant, maybe Glenn isa better rock singer but SP excells more at ballards. I always feel very sad about Brad Delp he was without doubt the purest lovely singer with the highest range. Brad we miss you man :(

Steve Perry, Glenn Hughes and Bradley Delp. My 3 favorite rock singers

PS I think that Coast to coast is one of the best ballads ever written :)

    Ok

  • Glenn Hughes, The Voice Of Rock. Awesome!

  • from my favourite album of all time - thanks for this

  • this song is great!!!

  • Pat Thrall is way too underrated on guitar.

  • As the Van Halen song goes..."you can't get this stuff no more".

  • Came for the Pat Thrall, left thinking MTV made the right decision swapping cheeseball videos for Road Rules and Jersey Shore.

  • impresionante!! glenn sos unico el mas grande del mundo!!tu voz es increible!!

  • Top notch rock music by top quality rock musicians.

  • Yep, I've got it on tape, vinyl and CD. The best album ever recorded. Thank god for Glenn Hughes and Pat Thrall.

  • glenn hughes/david coverdale... please forget the egos and just make your great music,ya'll are peas n carrots n belong together/greater together. just waitin, you'll blow everyone else away n u know it. maturity, not such a bad thing just don't "grow up" that would suck, rock on my honkeys./Eyedrum

  • @steeledad84 i have to disagree. Hughes and Coverdale could not be anymore different. Coverdale is more suited to blues and muddy rock while Hughes is best suited to Soul, Funk and Classic Rock/Hair Metal

  • Fantastic album!!! Thanks so much for posting.

Hughes with Gary Moore on Moores "Run for Cover" is also classic.

    Thanks again.

  • Pat thrall with Pat Travers was also a great raw line up!

  • Travers didn't have the same grit, or balls-out rock, as when Thrall was in the line-up with him. Once Thrall bailed, Travers kinda lost his tenacity.

  • The best song in the album!!!!

  • However it's pop-rock song, I like it very well.

  • I remember when this came out- I was a student at the University of Texas at the time. they came through town- I saw them at Cardies and they kicked fucking ass. I was tone death for about three days afterwards. For the life of me, I don't know why this LP didn't get any airplay nationally or why they didn't make it big. A fucking shame.

  • i saw these guys at the country club in cali back in the early 80's.

  • what a great voice.pat thrall's excellent too.wished they could have done more

  • I don't know about the player in the video here...but that's Claude Schnell (from DIO) who did the keyboards on this record

  • SOO much better than what passes for "music" nowadays..

  • glenn i love u and your voice =) you are amazing, no matter what kind of music you play

  • @xxbasi haha, Glenn is close friend of the family. at first i was like oh great; another family but now, he's told me so many stories of him when he traveled, and he's a truly amazing guy<3 (:

    i love you Glenn((:

    -GCM(:

  • I bought this cd at walmart and it is a fuckin gem!

  • Thanks for posting. I love the amazing voice of Glenn and the guitaar of Pat.

  • Glenn looks really fucked back then, but his voice.... without words

  • great song.

  • Pat Thrall was excellent in Pat Travers Band

  • With Tommy Aldridge

  • Yep, 1st concert I ever saw was Head East, Pat Travers and Rush, Curtis Hixon Hall Tampa. Blew me away!!! Tommy Aldridge and Niel Peart all in the same night!

  • It´s really Saga-like; didn´t know this at all...you live and learn. It´s been the beginning of the 80´s AOR-time and it´s been a great time. Kinda bubblegum, but great.

Cool song...sung by one of the greatest rock-voices of all time.

  • Glenn has always since he was a member of Deep Purple been one of my favourite singers. This album has a lot of nice songs, but, the sound is unfortunately the minus in this production. Which is sad when the songs are so good.

  • What A GREAT Album!! NO DOGS at all! TWO Great Players. Thanx for posting!

  • Glenn Hughes is AMAZING!!!!

  • So I like Hughes/Thrall, what else from Glenn sounds more AOR? (as opposed to blues/soul)... Hughes Turner Project, maybe?

  • I saw H&T live for 96 cents. Thme and Mahogany Rush happen to be coming through Oklahoma and they just set the show up at the last minute. Know one knew about it until about one to two hours before the show. Great show though!

  • Pat Thrall is so overlooked. Super talent. What can ya say about Glenn.

  • This is actually a really great album. Great rhythms from start to finish.

  • Glenn Hughes is god

  • GLENN HUGHES!!! The voice of rock!!!!!

  • This is a piece of Rock History a forgotten masterpiece that should have done 20 million. Glenn is my friend and also my hero. the greatest voice of all time and a kind hearted soul

  • Yes this really is a forgotten masterpiece. Never thought that I would see a video of these guys. Great great album!!!

  • Now I know where Robert Palmer took the inspiration from!!! LOL!

Needless to say, great stuff. I wonder why they didn´t do any clip for hold on to your life, wich is easily one of the best songs there...

  • Outstanding! God I'm glad someone posted this tune. The video is a little wacky- but you simply cannot deny the musicianship. Glenn and Pat were a magical combination, I sure wish they recorded more together. BTW- does anyone know who played drums on this record?

  • Okay- answering my own question. 3 guys played drums. Even though all the performances are enjoyable, I most favor Gary Ferguson on "I Got Your Number." That makes me drive 90 mph. ha ha.

  • I beleive Gary Ferguson was the drummer for Quiet Riot. "I got your number" is my favorite track on the album and Glenn Hughes solo Album "feel" (1994) is also a "must have". Gary Feguson plays on most of the tracks.

  • Actually you are thinking of Frankie Banali. He played in Quiet Riot. Thanks for the listening tips.

  • The drumming on "Hold Out Your Life" is fantastic! It's original, melodic, and heavy as hell! Great stuff!

  • Please go out and fing this album... It is truly one of the best damn hard rock albums ever!!!! Pat is one of the most underated guitar players ever and Glenn's vocals are over the top....

  • It just came back out remastered with bonus cuts a few months ago...Awesome album???

  • I wore out my cassette player in my old car (before cd's) playing this so much. I'll have to go out and pick up the new re-mastered cd with the bonus tracks. Thanks for the tip..
