  • What brave brave men. Just a little short on brains.

  • I noticed His Majesty was wearing what appears to be a black arm-band, any idea why?

  • He lost a cousin in the war. I am guessing that it is a mark of personal mourning.

  • Sorry if I sound dense, but I'm just beginning to learn about WWI. Were the wounded Americans also shipped to British hospitals?? Or did they stay in field hospitals?? And what about for rehabilitation... were they sent back to America??

  • They would have gone to American run hospitals on the British mainland before going home to America for a long term rehabilitation...If rehab was deemed necessary.

  • Pip, pip and all that rot! Stiff upper lip I say.... jolly good show! Righto then, off to the races old boy. For King and country! Smashing film! Cheers!

  • Heard many had to sell matches/poppies etc from street corners for years to come..not fitting for the flower of their youth..rip brave souls..

  • Sad to see young lads with limbs missing, what chance would they have in the greast recession that followed the War..

  • when are we gonna stop fighting wars for the interests of the rich power elites?

  • George V had a great personality!

  • The college were I study was a field hospital for wounded soldiers from this war. It was fitting to remember them in a place where they spent their time being treated.

  • Always remember the 11 hour of the 11 month 1918 -
