This cornerman was probably coached by the other cornerman to make sure he puts extra grease on GSP like we do in all his fights. I was a big time GSP fan, he has an amazing amount of skill and talent and I used to love watching him, he seems like a really nice guy with good sportmanship other than the fact that he uses greasing agents. He is the champion and should challenge himself further by fighting his opponents fairly.

Nurse's babbling, evasive responses are almost as embarrassing as his greasing up GSP. I propose that if a cornerman touches his fighter anywhere but the face, then the fighter loses by default. It is the fighter's responsibility to put competent individuals in his corner. This bullshit should never happen.

GSP being greased up had nothing to do with the fight's outcome and the grease, even though it was probably slippery, was also mixing with BJ's slippery calves, and Jackson's camp has admitted they try to get their fighters sweaty before the fight. What eversmall amount of grease was on his back an official rubbed it off plus grease didn't help gsp punch bj's face, knee him in the ribs and take him down at will. I think GSP had no part of this, he was just there to do what he had to do and that's fight, his cornerman is his own individual and should be repremanded for his own actions. Honestly i believe the Cornerman did it (greased GSP) intelligently knowing what his intentions were and his story just seems like bullshit trying to get out of trouble. Phil Nurse is a good guy. GSP being greased up had nothing to do with the fight's outcome and the grease, even though it was probably slippery, was also mixing with BJ's slippery calves, and Jackson's camp has admitted they try to get their fighters sweaty before the fight. That doesn't make them cheaters, although it may be frowned upon.

it doesnt matter how good wrestling control GSP has, anybody can get submitted. Brock Lesnar is a better wrestler than GSP and was submitted by Frank Mir who isnt as good of a BJJ artist than BJ Penn. GSP could have been submitted.
