  • @spyro9661 I honestly get tired of seeing comments like this. It's a DRAGON. Just because TSR decided to create a different monster for every creature name they could find does not change that. A "dragon" was a word used for any monstrous reptile during the middle ages. If you actually read a medieval bestiary, you'll notice that they are actually describing what is basically a winged python most of the time. Until recently, most dragons were depicted as legless, or with two legs and two wings.

  • The term wyvern didn't even enter the English language until the 17th century, and even then I suspect it was just a way of differentiating different heraldic symbols. For all intents and purposes, a wyvern is just a type of dragon. Dragons were variously depicted with no legs, front legs only, front legs and wings, two wings and two hind legs, two wings and four legs, or four wings and four legs.

  • @SimKoning just how i perceived it but my initial depiction of a dragon is two wings and four legs but thanks for the history lesson[not sarcastic]
