  • I heard gigli several times in concert but also in opera. I do remember a tosca at the Berlin Staatsoper with the great Rosa Raisa in presence of the monsters of the nazi party. Gigli was wonderful, not a small voice mind you but not a big one either but it projected very well and that silvery timbre, my god!!!!

    Raisa was a goddess in the title role, arguebly the loudest voice I've ever heard though mazaroff wasn't a chicken either. Thank you for this happy moment down memory lane
