Whenever people argue about whether "X vs. Y" is better, or similar nonsense, I always have to ask... Why?
Why is it important? Is it to determine objective quality? to show off what you know about something? or do you NEED it to be better? More often than not, I find it is the lattermost option, to which I can only conclude that said fans that engage this debate are horribly insecure. To constantly need validation that what they like is the best is almost worthy of pity.

However I do respect Jade a lot more than Mr anime, because while both of them get adds on their videos Jade isn't the one asking you to click them, while Mr anime said "it's the most important thing" with the smuggest look I've ever seen.

Jaded always say things like "Ohhhh I have a panel...come and see me" "Oh I made a mistake, oh wait I did not". He also addresses his opinions as facts, and makes lame excuses about his mistakes. He acts as if he is the authority on anime, which he is not.

I find Mr anime’s reviews quite lazy in comparison, and I’m not talking about visual or audio quality, I’m talking about basic critical thinking and getting his facts straight. Plus his main motive doesn’t seem to be sharing his opinion, it’s making money, every video he’s been putting out as of late has him telling people to click his adds, which quite frankly rubs me the wrong way.

@MagusX1 Well from my point of view there are two kinds of reviewers, informative like the animeoverviewer and cynical/comedy based like yahtzee, I get the feeling jaded is trying to be the latter but if that’s the case he takes himself way too seriously, too the point where he’s not funny, and he brings in the fan based of shows a little too much, so even if he has a valid point it comes across as bashing.
@tribute2trivium Gigguk is a good example of this style done right in anime reviewing, because unlike Jaded he doesn’t linger on a point for too long, Gigguk keeps up the pace so it doesn’t sound like he’s lecturing us. If I were to be a fanboy of a reviewer, it would probably be JesuOtaku, partly because of the way her rating system works (3 ratings go under the line of recommendation while the other 4 go over) there are more ways to explain how a show is good.

you know magus i never seen the anime youtube community and i dont know what is going on. but it feels the same as the gaming community that it is less fun to even do game walkthroughs or reviews because of the big gaming partners.

I agree too and in the whole reviewing community becoming negative, not just anime reviews but also rants and commentaries are also getting more unacceptable and just more egotistical in people these days.
