  • Hey!! Its Charlie!!!

  • great music just the same.

  • I am thinking that you wanted us to look at your ass.

  • Super !!!

  • gretsch's are so cool

  • Very nice playing style, Christian!!

    Nice Gretsch too! :))

  • I played one in a music shop today and was thinking about getting one, but why are so many players on Youtube selling their Electromatics?

  • yeah dude i have a Silver Falcon i play jazz on, chuck loeb North Wes east and south sounds great on it and so does California dreaming

  • Hey guys! I'm selling this guitar and the super reverb amplifier someone want it? Contact me by my youtube channel!!

  • @Chryguitar how much?

  • Damn thats great brother some real sock hoppin rockin blues.

  • If you like Rockabilly , rock& roll , and you're thinking about buying a gretsch... Just do it !

    You won't be dissapointed!

If you have any questions about it just visit the gretsch discussion pages (check google )

    Hope this helped

  • very nice, i am these days thinking to buy a gretsch electromatic, are you happy with your guitar after 2 years or wouldnt you buy these guitar again? thanks and best wishes from germany

  • Ti ringrazio Valerio!!

    Chry

  • Bella Cri! sei proprio bravo!!

    bravo, bravo e ancora bravo!

    Valerio Los Angeles.

  • Hey Christian! Rock on Dude!!! I enjoyed this video. The guitar's good, but so are you. Keep up the good work Bud!

  • How much did that cost you? I saw one in black for $600.

  • go by the sound and the build, not where it is made. I love Gretsch. :) would love to pick one of these up!

  • The G5xxx -series are Korean made. G6xxx-series are made in Japan. (of course they cost more). Also they make custom shop models in USA but these cost like 10 000 bucks..

    I went and bought a japan-Gretsch - I love it!

  • you need to unscrew the buttons them do them back up again

  • to put the strap do you need to unscrew the buttons????

cause mine came with the screw after 3 times...... confused

    let me know!

  • yeah!

  • Yes it is. It's a good guitar however.

  • yep man!! you're good!! keep it up! you should get a 6120DSW...your stuff would sound better believe me. I have one. :-)

  • Yeah man! But the 6120 it's too precious for my pockets!!

  • I have the same amps blues deluxe and deluxe reverb and the pick up on a guitar . my deluxe reverb seem's to be moody with these pick up !!! ???

  • Amazing playing! And a great sound, 5*

  • Thank you weirdotis! Happy that you like it

  • ottimo sound, come ti trovi?hai notato grandi differenze rispetto alle sorelle maggiori? ciao

  • Ciao!

  • ill get that guitar for chrismas if im lucky, but ill buy the sunburst collor. Great guitar for mid level guitarists and experienced

  • That's a beautiful guitar, I'm tempted to buy one.

  • Great playing and great singing, man, congrats!

What's the name of that last blues you sing?

    Peace

  • The blues at the end of the video is Mystery Train, covered in the fiftyes by Elvis presley dig the stray cats version of this song!

  • I almost bought this guitar, its beautiful ! you can play anything on it, the humbuckers really give you that crunch.

  • Dude I just got the same guitar but sunburst. After watching you play it and how it sounds, I am so stoked now!

  • Your setup is bascially everything I want but cannot afford.

  • Put the guitar cable into the input channel of blues deluxe amp. Then put a cable between the output of blues deluxe and the input of super reverb. Turn up the volume of each amp and the work is done!! Very easy!!

  • Depend on what kind of amp you have. The blues deluxe amp has a output channel.

  • WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! That's rad!

  • these guiatrs rock neil young had a similar set up a fender deluxe abd a big orabge gretsch they rock

  • awesome tones man!

  • Posers? You mean like you? Gretches may be great guitars and are my favorite but that doesn't mean strats and Les Pauls are for posers.

  • Agreed

  • Well I mean agreed to what Art said. Gretsches are cool but I don't think that gives anyone room to completely disregard of other ones

  • The Electromatic series are foreign made guitars. Cheaper parts and labor. Yeah, they play great but I feel a little guilty every time I pick up my faux jet. Electromatics are not true Gretsch. The mini buckers are weak if you bought a pro jet. But yeah. A great affordable guitar. Electromatics have no vintage value but are a bargain. Most artist will ditch the filter trons and add emg`s or Di Marzio pickups.

  • obviously you never enjoyed versatility in guitars..thats the beauty of them..

An Epiphone Casino has its own vibe

a Fender Strat and Tele have a different voice even though both are from the same manufacturer

    a Rickenbacker's twang is unmistakable

I love all my different guitars

  • Les Pauls are great man...and so are Gretsch's just because Gretsch dominates, doesnt mean LP's and Stats or for posers...try to lighten up maybe...

  • Very nice playing. Makes me want to go out and buy one to learn on!

  • I like your guitar .I have a 1953 electromtic without the cutaway ..these guitars are great .

  • i have a gretsch electromatic.. and i play Arctic monkeys songs on it.. and it plays them pretty well...

  • are you at home or playing at grandma's ?

  • Hyuk hyuk hyuk

  • Yeah this is becoming a true gretsch-porn page

  • lol playing that guitar would give me a stiffy 2

  • What's a weener?

  • Yeah brother now I know what means that word. Thank you ;-)

  • ive got 1 exactly like u4rs and it rulez

  • whats with the fan in the backround

  • yeah man!!

  • You rock dude, i most often sing and have never been much of a guitarist. Playing a little bit thou and thinking about buying a Gretsch Electromatic. Think i could be better if i would give it some time :P

  • What means "boner"?

  • haha legend

you can see he's got a boner for definite

    nutter

  • boners rule

  • your voice needs work, but guitarness rocks.

  • Yes man, I'm taking singing lessons since one month...

  • awsome!!

    is that the 5125?

I'm thinking of trading it with my highway1.

Great video and great play !!!

  • Looked up this video by guitar model, since I am considering getting one, and I found one hell of a guitar player. Good work. I really love that tone. I think it'd go nicely with a valve junior.

  • Great playing! Nice Guitar! What's the neck profile on that? Thick/fat? thin?

  • I don't know brother.... But I can tell you that the neck is small. Smaller than stratocaster neck

  • I think i might have to get this guitar. Great video.

  • i got the same guitar you have

  • I'm happy for your choice!

  • Amazing playing. Just ordered a 5120 ($550 Canadian)

How did you learn? Books? Which books?

  • im trying to buy an electromatic, i like the color gold but it has different pickups from the brown ones. which pickups are better the u.s. deAmmond or the gretsch dual coil pickups. can anyone help me? which sounds better?

  • Gre|at Gretsch, excellent blues playing. Gretsch sounds like pure fine wood

  • That (fuckin') great Gretsch sound... Really nice playing!

  • where is it made at bro?

  • bravo!

  • Grazie!

  • a side note: try putting your amp on something, and behind the fan. easiest natural vibrato you can get

  • can you play anything on that fucking sweet oscillating fan in the background? what'd that put you back? XD

  • To learn this style try with my instructional video on my youtube page!

  • where is that video?

  • Go on the top of this page and click on Chryguitar written in blue on the right of the page. This will send you on my youtube page. The video is called blues guitar instructional video by christian. Hope you enjoy!

  • hay you got a stivie ray vaughe thing going on there with a mix of james burton, only your not playing a awesome fender, your playing an awesome gretch.lol.

you're great man , keep playing, sounds great!

  • Thanks man! I'm going on with commitment. Now also keeping singing lessons

  • Hey man, my Father found the guitar really cheap with hardcase and he bought it, It's awesome!! Plain black with white Trim, Shiney and beautiful. Now i just need to practice.. and practice...

  • I'm happy for you! If you need some help check my instrucional video, hope you enjoy it. How much cost the guitar in your country?

  • Brand new, i belive it costs 9500kr ( though i found it in a small store for 7000kr once) So that's.. probably 1000 euros? But we got it used (The guy was a heavy Stray Cats fan) 6500kr with the hardcase wich alone costs 1500kr! Will check out your vids, could pick up a few tricks, Thanks!

    /Patric

  • Kr? Hey where you come from? Here it cost 700 euro. The used guitar are better than new instruments!!

  • Yeah 700 can be quite accuarate. From Sweden :P

    Got it abit cheaper.

  • If that's the G5120, which I think it is, it costs around $600 at Guitar center in the US

  • Hey man, i'm planning to buy the same guitar to christmas, and i just wonder a thing about it! Does it get out of tune easy when you use the bigsby or just playing? If you got some time, it would be great if you could give me a few facts :) Love your playing!

Thanks for uploading, good to hear some of it sounds.

    /Patric

  • The bigsby is better than fender tremolo bridge! You can play hardly without problems. This guitar is amazing for me. Buy it and don't worry.

    Christian

  • Thank you so much duvetdude! Thank you for enjoying my videos!

  • great playing, man! i'm so jealous - i want that guitar. :) loved the final riff, too... great stuff bro

  • Nice playing!!

    I love that ending.

  • Great guitar, great playing, crap haircut.

  • cna you get that in a lefty

  • I just bought a 5120 and it's being shipped as we speak. Also have some TV Jones pickups on the way too. Curious if the pickups on this guitar vid are stock?

  • going for the Brian Setzer sound eh?

  • Absolutely going for Setzer's sound. Nothing like it.

  • Hey, funny seeing you here! :)

  • You make me want to play blues, which I usually can't stand.

  • Thank you, this is one of the best compliment I ever received!! Bye.

  • No problem. I seriously dig the melodies.

  • Very nice playing! I've got a few Gretsch's too - I have one video posted on here with one. I can't fingerpick nearly that well though.

  • mystery train!

  • beautiful guitar

  • Do you mean Hank Azaria, actor??

  • Yeah- you do look a bit like Hank Azaria, the actor. Btw- the guitar playing is awesome.

  • Hey Hank Azaria is older than me!!! I'm 25 years old... Thank you for the comment on the playing... by the way... :-)

  • The Vent is funny. And the guitar is ace. And so is the amp and yer playing. But I still adore your vent.
