I haven't actually been to Atlanta, but I skipped the southeast on my trip because I have spent a great deal of time there. I was traveling for about a month, I got back in late July.
Aw, that would have been amazing if you had met Hank! Although, as you said, you didn't know of his existence at the time...aren't those extra little lines that turn $10 into $110 so annoying? don't worry, i feel your pain. I'm in a perpetual state of broke-ness, so i can hardly afford much of anything i want when i'm out shopping.
It was really annoying, especially because I had saved up a whole bunch of money and was planning on spending some of it....just not that large of an amount of something I'll probably find at a garage sale or a thrift store at some point. (It's weird how my concept of value changes when something is simply an artifact versus when I want to use it for its originally intended purpose).
Oh man. The first thing I thought when I saw Missoula was... I wonder if she ran into Hank. =D Needless to say.. turns out you didn't. That would have been so fun!
That's funny. My mom gave me that book when I moved in by myself. She's a big fan of it.
No, I intentionally organized my shelves that way. Previously, they were organized by type - novel, how-to book, art book, etc and arranged alphabetically. They remained on their shelf, I just rearranged them by color. I thought this might make it more difficult to find things, but it hasn't been a problem.

Unfortunately, (or maybe it's for the best), I wasn't aware of Hank's existence when I was there (you know, several months ago).

I have that Home Remedies book over your right shoulder. It's just about even with my own right shoulder right now on my own black book shelf.
Are your shelves organized by color or is the rainbow behind you just a happy coincidence?
