Who wants something plastic like that in your hair? What if you have thin hair and you're walking around with it exposed and you don't even know it? You'll look ridic! i HIIIIGHLY suggest 'Maxis adjust-a-curl' velcro rollers. I bought them at Ulta bc my friends all hated the 'bump-it' and was looking for tons of volume without teasing or a bulky plastic insert. My only regret is not buying these earlier. My hair had suffered without them!! I will never ever use anything else!

yeah, actually velcro rollers work volumes on my hair. Literally. I have waist-length hair that is extremely thick and heavy.  And rollers do the trick to add volume.

I'd feel like an idiot walking around with a plastic insert on my head. What if it falls out?!

It only stays if you use 5 cans of hairspray, otherwise you better not move your head or it will fall off. Notice how stiff the host's hair is...what is that a wig? None of the models are allowed to move their head....its JUNK
