If u go to rap4.com you'll see that same gun and it's a paintball gun and yes if u paintball u know that guns from rap4 spit out shells as u shoot and a hard recoil for realistic look and feel but most people just assume it's real....

modern silencer with very good construction will change the recoil of the weapon and silencers that bleed off gas will reduces power of the round and silencers that don't bleed off but trap it between the chambers will increase velocity of the round by 1%. Some people like to say that using a silencer reduces range but that because they use subsonic ammo.

@johnie1992 Decible wise? I cant say, I cant legally own one in California, though friends in England say its quiet enough that they use it without hearing protection. A 12 gauge shotgun as with any gunpowder weapon is going to carry a loud bang to it, I have never shot one without hearing protection. I like my ears ^_^

The suppressor must weigh more than the shotgun lol. And lets be honest, it'd be a LOT easier and more practical to suppress a handgun caliber firearm for practical uses.

And even if we limit the discussion to non-combat use, then the practical use for target practice is reduced noise, which is a distraction. And for hunting, the less noise you make, the more likely you are to finish the day with more than one quarry. Finally, in regards to home defense, I'm not planning to 'scare' someone off.
