Swears are just for accent. So now due to the fact that some fuckheads don't want me swearing, I can't get my fucking point across. (you can see how angry I am due to my use of the accent word "fuck".
saying 'to fuck' as apposed with 'to have sex' has a completely different sentimentality. Fucking is what happens when you pick up a girl in a club, take her back to yours and 'fuck the tits off her'. Having sex is what you do with someone you care about, there's a respect for the action and the person your doing it with. I'd say the difference is intimacy and respect.
This is the first time i kind of do not agree with him. When you say "i fucked her" rather then "we had sex" there's a different mental image you get from the two. So like he said, words are all there intention....so.... pick your wording properly. You can look at it like that also.
Brian looks like such a fag. He's such a child. And he hardly participates in conversation in a constructive manner. He's supposed to be the guy that takes care of the technical stuff yet almost every other podcast something messes up and he can't take care of it, or it's him that's messing it up. He got a great job from Joe, life-changing, but he doesn't seem to want to really make a big effort to improve himself, he's kind of the counter-argument to Joe being a smart pot-head.
Curse your friends if thats the relationship you have but respect others specifically women , children and elders. Everybody has the right to freedom and choice but not enough people know the difference between freedom to do what you want and imposing your freedom on someone and indirectly taking away their freedom.
Everyone knows majority of the profanities that exist but the more they are uncensored around us the more we will use them and as result end up using them in scenarios that will cause people who don't want to hear them to be upset. Upset people or angry people. To say i swear f i want to swear and to hell with everyone else is a selfish social outlook and not the way to live in a diverse society realistically, this invariably leads to conflict and resentment.
Like Joe Rogan but mind control, please, every person knows a certain amount of etiquette must be shown to varying people in varying social circumstances eg your boss/superiors, court etc. Secondly in the public domain it is about choice Joe and people like him, like and want to swear go ahead but there has to be a mechanism for those who don't want to hear/see or want their children to be over exposed to it.
ahaha this reminded me of when some old fat guy yelled at my friends and I and said that he was gonna call the cops because we were swearing at a burger king ahaha he probably just didn't like us Mexicans, we told him "go fuck yourself, our records are clean .. mostly" lol
Nah. If every stupid motherfucker would be publicly allowed to swear in every social scenario, common conversation would be a pain to listen to. Why? Because different words from different people are interpreted diferently. F.e. Say "Cunt" to a nice girl or lady...
@rampagesgrill84 people can insult other people without swearing , for example i could say "your face physically disgusts me, i cannot believe than anyone, even your mother could love something as horrible and stupidly put together as your existence" or i could say "hey man! how are you you fucking cocksucker! i havent seen you in so long you son of a bitch. how've you been?". i dunno i've never had a problem with people misinterpreting swearing.
@khazal12 Those are two different examples. The first is an insult, the latter a greeting. If the first one was a greeting in the end, it wouldn't make sense.
Secondly, Joe is talking about cencorship, which means swearing should, in his opinion, be publicly accepted. This doesn't only consern cursing among people you know, it's a common standard, which means that the swearing greeting you made up would be acceptable from an unknown person. Maybe you would find it funny, many wouldn't...
@rampagesgrill84 yes the first is interpreted as an insult whilst using no swear words. im just saying that the words mean nothing by themselves. if i say the word "fuck" to anyone (whether i know them or not) without any context and with no emotion it doesnt mean anything. if someone says "hey im john, how the fuck are you?" for example to someone he doesnt know, would people be offended by that? and if they are offended; is it right to be offended?
@khazal12 People who don't know each other are often very uptight even in small talk, some kind of % of people would find it funny, but it's really a step backwards to savagery, not modern society with behaviour codes. Who wouldn't like to curse to break the ice, or just for fun every now and then? Sounds fine and good, but it would get old fast and lead to violence. For it to work in practise, you'd have to chance the moral codes of raising your child...ridiculous idea, good simple comedy.

@rampagesgrill84 its all about the intention behind it, so it has nothing to do with the word itself.
khazal12 1 year ago
@khazal12 And that would cause a problem in interpreting the meaning.
