In S.Korea there are factions that are Anti-US but pro-N.Korean but there are other factions that are pro-US but anti-N.Korean. These kind of anti-US factions are found in every country.
There are many reasons why some Koreans hate the US. Koreans didn't like how American soldiers occupy Korean farmers lands. US supported a authoritarian rule in Korea during the 80s that killed thousands of S.Korean democratic students. During the Korean War, US indiscriminately killed civilians that were suspected of being communists and that Apolo Ohno Olympic controversy. But you know most Koreans support the US but they basically hate the US foreign policy and Bush.
I think Japan has apologized more than enough. what about North Korea invadng South Korea? What about China sending their miliion army to help north Korea? I think those 2 evil commies killed more Koreans than Japan. Actually, Koreans should thank Imperial Japan for waking Koreans up to the western civilation or else Korea would be still like middle east.

there is a split among S.Koreans. Some Koreans are anti-american and pro-North Korea while there are Koreans who are Pro-US and Anti-N.Korean.
