Hi I was wondering if any of you might have a song by Johnny Crawford "Maybe its you" is from the soundtrack Welcome to collinwood. I can't find it anywhere. If someone can help me please I'll appreciate it. Thank you
@condecuentatodo Very sorry for this late reply, but the only place I could find "Maybe It's You" is on the Amazon download site. Unfortunately, you cannot buy the individual song, you have to download the entire soundtrack which costs $9.49. Sorry I can't help you further and, again, sorry for this late response.
I've read that a lot of Johnny Crawford's recordings have been pulled it's hard to figure he's sure not a hot item and it was a long time ago Often hard to figure what and why some videos are posted and others are not I notice that some artists like Bob Dylan must be very proprietory about their music as most of it's been pulled while others are plentiful in the extreme

@douglashthomson I have that single .The flip side is What happened to Janie. It was probably my first single record I ever bought. I is wonderful being able to hear more of his songs on youtube.
Nice cover of Larry Hall's Sandy..wish they would have worked on a few more takes when recording this tune. Guitar bridge and intro OK.. but the over all production of the tune not a.haunting melody..Like Hall's version. Did not chart. But Crawford had a few others.Cindy..etc.
Noticed same thing. Rick's (and later Elvis's) guitarist James Burton played solo on String Along. Maybe he also did this one as a session musician a year later. BTW, wasn't Wally Plumstead Rick's friend on the show?
Johnny did a great job with this tune. Nice vocals and top quality backing music...lead guitar and rhythm guitar pattern are way cool. I heard this version before Larry Hall's one...( Larry's is real nice too.) Smooth and tender whereas Johnny's is lively and rollicking. Though not a signature song of Johnny Crawford, this tune is a solid one and one that shows that Johnny is much more than a guy singing about Cindy, Janie, or Judy. (Over at the malt shop, Sandy is selection S6 on the jukebox)
"Something Special" is a great song, but I think people are having a hard time posting Johnny's songs. "Cindy's Birthday" itself has been removed from YouTube, as has "Daydreams", etc. Yet other postings of his remain up, such as this one. I've given up on posting anything else of Johnny's, and I am truly surprised that this posting has been allowed to stay up. Knock on wood!
I like Johnny Crawford's too! Cindy's Birthday is his great song. The Echoes Baby Blue is a Classic that everyone should remember at the time too! The Fleetwood's Come Softy Darling was a romantic song was simple but great and I like that time when the songs were upbeat and happy! I like Johhny Crawford and wish I had met him. He some Cowboy TV special but can't remember when it aired.
Thank you so much for the great memories, Years ago I won a contest and a phone call from Johnny, he was fantastic, he even mailed me signed albums and photos...I cherished them, unfortunately they were stolden, and I cried for days, but the fact that he was that nice has never left my heart
nice try but Laryy is more of a complete singer and artist

Wow. Why do keep hearing Poor Little Fool. by Ric Nelson??
blueticecho 2 years ago
Rhythm pattern and style here is very much like Rick Nelson's "Poor Little Fool" and "String Along", and Dion and The Belmonts "Teenager In Love".

Has anyone posted Johnny's version of "Something Special"? It was on the flip side of "Cindy's Birthday". How about a cover version ?
