  • 0:08-0:19 name of song?

  • i mean kiss

  • One volume knob on geddy lees most crappiest bass ever has more talent in it than all the members of rush

  • @zomgoodnessih8u I'm sorry, but what?

  • @TWISTEDFender i meant kiss xD

  • Classic: The cockiest, sort of least musical band on the planet hitting it off with the most humble, most musical band on the planet. Lol! Thanks Kiss.....nice shot!! (35+ years later.)

  • KISS AND Rush. Jesus...

  • i know why peter criss was hugging neil: because he hoped some of that talent would rub off on him!!!

  • KISS RECORDS SALES WERE BAD BUT THERE CONCERTS IN THE 70'S WAS KICK ASS. I KNOW I WENT TO A FEW. KISS WAS GREAT LIVE BUT THERE RECORDS DID NOT SALE GOOD AT ALL. THERE CONCERTS OUT SOLD THERE RECORDS..

  • @theEricoeric Yeah, they've only sold 120,000,000 (that's 120 MILLION) records worldwide, 28 Gold Records (More than ANY other American band - look it up) . Yeah, that KISS band sure does have bad record sales.

    Go back to sleep.

  • @123torrent it came out of all there mouths they did not sell records well at all. you fucking go to sleep. you not a true fan if you didnt know this

  • @theEricoeric cock head..kiss had 12 platinum selling albums before the end of the 70's, i think that was more than any american act at the time...they were out selling the stones and many established acts of the time...now today sold over 100 million. go back to school

  • @mammo8369 look ass holes read up on it please you go back to school. sure they sold that many now but when they first started out they did not sell many they even changed record labels, go read on it then comment back

  • @theEricoeric yeh ur talking about the first 2 or 3 albums...in the 70's most bands took a few albums to get going...by kiss alive in 75, that album sold over 4 million in 3 years. in 14 months kiss went from selling nothing to 4 million....like i said go back to school...and for the record they were with casablanca for most of the 70's, their biggest selling era...like i said you need a history lesson !!!

  • @mammo8369 What people went after in the 70's was Kiss's looks they looked like freaks but soon as they opened there mouths they turned off all the people who know what real music was..So they have a million fans so what thats only a spot in the barrel compare to the people who really know what good music is

  • @theEricoeric Ericoeric's profile "I'm a freak I try anything once" "Interests: Black dudes" .

Case closed. Thank you and good night.

  • Both bands are in my top 5 favorites but Rush opening for Kiss in that moment in time is almost like when Jimi Hendrix opened for the Monkeeys. Must have been a trip.

  • Rush, The Tubes, Kiss - Winterland 1975,6,7 I can't remember. 500 people attended. The Tubes stole the show hands down. First tour for Rush and Kiss in S.F.

  • Who would ever have guessed at that time that Rush would surpass kiss by far, as musicians, song writers, talent, coolness, quality etc..

  • @Mglosk explain surpass ?? kiss sold 10x the albums.. kiss play to 10 x the audience.

rush are prog, prog is boring...prog is for the GEEKS of the music world...kiss simply rocked...KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID was the motto...put on the best live show ever and people will remember you...try to play the most perfect lick and you will be forgotten..

    rush who ???

  • @mammo8369 understood. you're not qualified to comment about rush - reading between the lines you clearly state that the music of rush is too complex for you, and that the simplistic music of kiss suits you. you're perfectly free to express an opinion regarding your distaste of rush, or that you find them boring. but you're too fucking stupid to comment on prog rock as you really know nothing about it and find it too complex.

  • @UpstairsMaid prog is shit..simple ...thats why it doesnt sell..rush 40 mill kiss 100+ mill...figures talk for themselves. kiss isnt simple, your just too stupid that you cant hear whats actually in the songs...they are not written to be purposely complex, but plenty of kiss songs are far from simple. just watch any other band try and play one...they cant play like kiss do...end of the day kiss sells rush doesnt. prog always was and always will be a small NERDY market for losers !!

  • @mammo8369 t=you're really bit of a dunce - and rather illiterate as well. did I ay that I didn't like kiss? nope - I like kiss. Did I say I hate simple mnusic - heck I like gaga. I also like zeppelin, the who, beethoven. debussy, joni mitchell, eminem, bach. pink floyd, little feat, skynyrd, allmans, alanis.... My point still stands - metallica, smashing pumpkins and others hail rush as the best and greatest influence. I'll take billy over an idiot like you anyday.

  • @mammo8369 40 million puts rush in the top 50 bands of all time in terms of sales. I suppose you hate genesis, king crimson, elp, yes and other prog bands? dumbass. genesis sold 150 million which by your dimwitted definition of quality makes them 50% better than kiss. I bet you think taco bell or macdonald's are the best restaurants - I mean they both have greater sales than anyone else.

there isn't a single kiss song that a decent band can't either play better or improve upon.

  • @mammo8369 lastly - why are you here? if not to troll? you've outed yourself - by saying you hate rush every one of your posts here can now be tossed in the bin marked trolls. you have nothing of value to add, nothing worthwhile any rush fan wants to hear - so stirring up shit on youtube is your real purpose - noted - you're an asshole.

lastly, 'your just too' should be 'you're just too' - you know, a contraction. Do you even know what a contraction is you dumb fuck?

  • @mammo8369 neil peart is voted time and again best drummer in the world. geddy lee is voted time and again in the top 5 of all bass players. alex lifeson's in the top 50 of all guitar players according to rolling stone. rush touring stats put them 3rd all time, behind the beatles and rolling stones. LOL! how does that figure in your more 'more money equals better' frame of reference. do you know what a frame of reference is you dumb fuck?

  • @UpstairsMaid rush 3rd in touring ??? you never herd of U2's 700,000 $ tour. the kiss reunion tour blew away anything rush every did and rush OPENED for kiss in the 70's.

rush are a popular prog band...but then again who listens to prog ?? if it wasnt for kiss rush never would have had american exposure as gene helped rush get started by helping them on tour. as for my chanel, this is one of four i have, and if thats you in you pic FUCK UR UGLY !!!!!

  • @mammo8369 I looked at tour channel - zero information, zero uploads, zero subscribers, zero friends. In short the channel of a real troll. People like you who like starting fights should be hospitalized in an institution. Lastly the leader of kiss and all the members of kiss love rush...but you a kiss fan don't. Is it possible you simply hate canadians?

  • rush-ac/dc -ironmaiden-wasp-judas priest-morley crue-bonjovi-bob seger etc etc all have opened for kiss at one point,,,kiss helped a lot of bands get known..

  • @camarotoro very true..kiss went out of their way to allow really good upcomming bands to open for them..kiss helped alot of bands out, gene is never jealous of other acts, if anything he helps them out..

  • This tour with Kiss was then definitely what brought Rush to the attention of america and the midwest. Thanks guys for supporting such a great band!

Gene is actually a lot cooler than he acts.

  • KISS and Rush would've been amazing to see. Rush is an amazing band, and KISS is as well. Both are different in their own ways. They don't need the Rock and Roll "Hall of Fame", either. KISS and Rush forever! :)

  • let me go, rock n roll. does anyone know the video for that, the one that was in this?

  • not a Kiss fan but I do like Ace Frehley's playing alot . But outside of that I think alot of their material was gar-bage.

  • @Cincinnatus1869 Check out Destroyer, Rock and Roll Over, Creatures of the Night and Revenge.

  • @StoneColdCrazy74 I got to see them in their first 'farewell" tour in 96with the original 4 and I have to say I have never saw a better show at and indoor venue at least . I just wasnt really familiar with alot of their stuff but I had kind of underestimated how well they could all play . They were a tight veteran band and it showed besides the spectacular things going on around them they were laying it down .I have the Destroyer cd around my house I think but Ill have to check those others

  • @Cincinnatus1869 It's good you're having an open mind. :) Hotter Than Hell and Alive! are great as well. I've seen both KISS and Rush, both were my first few concerts actually. I'm sure you've seen Rush as well, so you know it was a great experience for me. Right now I'm exploring Rush's stuff past Signals, as I stopped after that album since their material got a tad too different for me. Hopefully I can find something to love with these albums. :p

  • @StoneColdCrazy74 I finally got to see Rush on teh Snakes and Arrows tour , twice actually , and it was all I could have hoped for. I had a few too many Vodkas at the second show but from what I recall it was great .(gimme a break I was excited )I have to agree that their material has not been as strong on th elast few records but it's still more interesting than most ! I like Frehleys version of Sweet's Fox On the Run from his latest record ,if U have not heard that u should listen its cool

  • rush > kiss gene admits it

  • I think Rush and Kiss should do another tour together except Kiss should allow be allowed to play 5 or 6 songs and let Rush come out and play for 3 hours.

  • If I were a Rush member I wouldn't let Simons shine my shoes (if he beeeegged...)

Seriously. KISS is a disgrace to... music. Period.

  • @zinger1518, did you say 'wright' as in a song... Jesus Christ.

  • RUSH decimates KISS Geddy lee could loose both is hands he would still destroy Gene SImmons

  • If they just could have learned a little more from each other.... Kiss would have learned how to wright songs. And Rush... Well I think they learned everything that Gene and the boys had to show. I think Rush is way ahead on this one.

  • slappin debased mon

  • WTF? I clicked on this because it was suggested that because I liked Rush I would want to watch this crap. BOO! I haven't been interested in Kiss since I first heard them in the early 70's. YUCK.

  • GRAMMY ON SUNDAY?

  • Yeh! Ohhhh, yeh!

  • I rented this movie, watched it 8 times, fucking love RUSH

  • What was that kiss song ?

  • @TitaniumByFire "Let Me Go, Rock n' Roll", and it's no joke when I say that I believe that is the most criminally underrated live song I've ever heard. Ace Frehley goes off on the guitar, he pulls out all the tricks and the fun that Gene, Paul, Ace and Peter were having at the time was heard all in that song. 100% Rock and Roll, that song to me was what it's all about, having fun, it's a good thing when a song makes you want to get up and dance, or tap your feet.

  • @vfgjhj Thanks. I'm not the biggest kiss fan but this song sounded pretty tight imo and was just wondering what it was. I researched it but couldn't figure it out. Again, thanks.

  • @TitaniumByFire It is called "let me go rock and roll"

  • Great to see Neil Peart standing there with Peter Criss. I love Peter, but that's like seeing Leonardo Da Vinci standing next to a kindergarten finger painter.

  • stay away from rush you motherfucker

  • perp walk

    watch?v=kOURLAgQT_8

    on tv

  • 100% true: Simmons wrote "Burn Bitch Burn" after Geddy Lee's first wife accidentally set herself on fire during a barbecue.

  • @BritneyHateMachine he had more than one wife?

  • ha ha, neil and peter at 0:40! Rush+Kiss=two of my favorite bands.

  • Dear Jean Simon and families,

    Today is John Winston Lennon's

    Seventieth birthday.

Please do not associate your lame band with the likes of Voodoo Fest,

    Shannon Tweed, and OJ.

    2010...the year of the ePhilosopher

    james douglas morrison sent me

nah can you believe john lennon is seventy geez

  • I luv Rush - not too keen on Kiss - but anyway....both bands deserve to be in the silly rock 'n' roll hall of fame.

  • Gene is always right

  • what was the kiss song?

  • @StupidChicagoPunk The song is called "Let me go Rock and Roll"

  • Gene singing like Geddy is PRICELESS

  • I always thought this was a funny mix...Gene Simmons represents everything RUSH isn't and frowns upon and vice versa. Gene Simmons is only about money, self promotion, props, reality TV and would be the first to admit it. Rush is about maintaining the dignity and integrity of the music and themselves at all costs. Complete opposites.

  • great dvd,picked it up the other day,well worth the 17$ :D

  • the only reason why Rush got compared to Led Zeppelin, is that Led Zeppelin was the only band to compare with. Every other so called "Heavy Metal"-"hard Rock " band had to have a singer to reach those high notes. so at the time, when they came on, they thought zeppelin. but that is where the similarities ended. I never thought the first album sounded like zep, maybe a amatuer led zep, but never a direct copy. it was just a DIY, but rush would get better. I LOVE THE FIRST ALBUM!!!

  • CALL LOCAL ROCK FM Stations Request CARAVAN

  • LOVE ITTTTT!!!!! See ya in CHI TOWN guys!!!!Q

  • Good Doc movie. Just saw the edited version on VH-1-US.

  • King Kong is to Giant gorilla from Skull Island as Rush is to Greatest band of all time. No one understands how excited I am to see this movie!

  • went to see this in the cinema, and its acc AMAZING!!!!! :L xxx

  • I'm so getting this on Blu Ray!

  • @mrlurp HECK YEAH MAN!!! ONLY A COUPLE MORE DAYS!!!
