When I'm playing aggressive in a CQB area of a map I love having steady aim. Sometimes my adrenaline starts pumping and I accidentally shoot too early before I'm scoped in enough. Even though I'm likely to miss the shot because I shot too early, steady aim increases the probability that I'll get the kill.
i dont use steady aim because i beileave marksman has helped me get more kills but my close friend uses steady aim nd we joke thats hes a noob even though hes not but i agree dont fight about it just agree to disagree hecz thx for posting this video
FUK U HECZ U SUKKKK!!!!!!!!!! (Jk man) I really liked this commentary because I am always self conscious about how I quickscope because I tend to do better when I have steady aim, But people like to bitch when I use it (No offense to your opinion xD) I always have to change to a dead silence perk instead so that I can make the community happy and it really fucks with my sniping. I am a little more comfortable now that I know predator uses steady aim. Thanks dude.
i think that steady aim does that your no scopes get more senterd, that helps a bit, but if you get steady aim pro you can hold breath longer so that will help your long hardscopes. i personly don like it because it is unnecessary for me because i dont do random no scopes with out dead silence pro so i dont get fall damage. Thats my thoughts. have a nice day :)
Me personally dont like steady aim, for me makes my quickscoping worse because of the smaller crosshairs,as my style of quickscoping im better without it,i like the bigger crosshairs gives me the sleightest bit more time to control my shot, steadyaim aims in to quick for me ,sounds ridicoulous but its true check out my clips snipering without steadyaim
I think stay aim does help you to qs better because when u get to the pointy if a bump shot and quick scope shot you have a better chance of killing the enemy but if you want to have a discussion send me a pm and we'll talk about quick scoping
I use both, if im in search or free for all where everyone is soundhoreing then i use dead silence. but when im in like domination or kill confirmed, demolition or something i use steady aim
Rather than agree to disagree... maybe it's just better to say it's not worth fighting over. I dunno, the logical side of my brain says that there can only be one right answer.
Everyone has there own opinion, personally I don't use steady aim and I would find that I think there are more useful perks that I prefer but everyone has there own choice of what they prefer, I hear so many people call people noobs for using steady aim when they get killed by it but it's a perk and you are in titled to your own opinion of what you find easier, for example some people find it easier to use the MSR some people prefer the L118A. We are all human, everyone has their own opinion.<3
In MW3 it doesnt affect ( watch zzirgrizz his comparison) in MW2 I dont know but I dont think so no. I dont see how it can make it easier. except if u say that you can pre-aim faster w/ a smaller crosshair than w/ a bigger one. MW3 the only diffrence is u aim faster after sprinting.
i just learn something new from you today hecz ! and thats to look up on the corner of a wall so my sniper dosent poke out, lol. very strategical indeed.
No scoping makes hip fire more accurate and, for some people, makes finding the middle of their crosshairs and placing their enemies there easier. I don't see how it's a matter of opinion; it seems more like an issue of personal preference.
It's a stupid argument to have, honestly.
Also, hip fire with any gun is luck-based. It's RANDOM. It's part of the game's god damn mechanics. It's not luck. It's a FACT because that shit is in the god damn CODE. Come on.
If you play with Steady aim there's nothing wrong with that, Steady Aim is just another perk, and what do perks do? They help in some way. If your going to flame about Steady Aim, then i should be able to flame about something like Recon saying you suck because you need something to show where I'm at. Would I? No. Will others? Yes. Steady aim only improves snipers when it comes to no scopes, it makes it slightly easier, when it comes to quickscopes or hardscopes it's all on the player.
Steady Aim is a perk like any other, If you look at it that way some would say that Slieght of Hand is nooby ir whatever. Obviously I'm not a sniper player. I post in fact zombies. Not getting side tracked if you wish to have a heated debate/argument feel free to add my SKYPE: ronaldojaze95
hey hecz i think and agree with you about steady aim it helps and stuff and it is one of the best perks in the game after sleight o hand and quick draw :D
Hmm if deep impact was a perk again then steady aim would be 100x more credible.
Back in the older cods you had two choices and that was that. But in this game you can have both the proficiency (which is pure bullshit in this game, doesn't work on half the walls :/) and the perk.
Steady aim is still a viable option, but if deep impact made a return (and returned like cod4) then steady aim would bring a whole new dynamic to the table.
yeah HECZ what are we meant to do if we try to talk to you but you never reply to us, im from the UK and i think what you done to OpTic well lets be honest Failure isn't exactly what you are. You can make a living for sitting on your ass, playing a game, do be honest people say to me wouldn't it be cool if you could do a hobby for money, well your doing a hobby for money, why would people even say stuff to you, if anything they should suck up your ass to get some of that money, Peace out ! :L
i just think whatever your perk set up for sniping is, is how you like to snipe..i mean ove seen blind eye assasin snipers lol but if thats how they feel makes them a good sniper then sire why not..lersonally i like steady aim or marksmen but awesome no scope at the end
not trolling intended. ill admit im a terrible sniper but he doesnt like steady aim bc it makes sniping easier but he doesnt have a problem with quickdraw?
@TH3PUN1SH3R92 i think its because steady aim helps you line up your shot and quick draw just makes you scope in faster so they are so different aspects in snipeing but i mean compared to using steady aim or not using it. compared to SOH or quick draw. its much harder not using quick draw over steady aim
dead silence made it so u would no longer (like in mw2) have to choose ninja for competitive and commando for trickshotting. I think people should take advantage of that privilege that I think infinity ward purposely made for us snipers.
You know Hecz u sound like my friend and he says Steady Aim looks ugly during trickshot but I use Steady Aim to hit trickshots more often. I Dont sound whore and Mw3 has no high place to jump from so deadsilence really dosent help me too often. So yeah that why I use steady aim.
and it had always been same for me, no matter small crosshairs, big crosshairs or no at all. After you become confident with your aim, you dont concentrate on crosshairs, but on enemy. It is instinct, it isn't like put crosshairs and enemy in middle. So to summarize it, steady aim fills in the gaps and balances snipers with assaults and smg's.
@HECZWE This is my personal opinion, so no hate. I am PC sniper, played COD4 promod and currently in MW3 ESL. COD4 promod has crosshairs like steady aim and in ESL on MW3 there are no perks. I must say that steady aim is fitting little gap for balancing it with assaults and smg in close range and on MW3 ESL you have to quickscope or use secondary which both are time-consuming options and mostly result in death. I also played Hardcore wars with no crosshairs (read part 2)
H3CZ... I think Steady Aim does help with quickscopes because it brings the crosshairs closer together helping you line up your shot better which could, in the end, bring you a kill and not a death.
i would like to talk to u about hitmarkers on mw3 the L118A is not powerful to me please tell me im not the only one bitching about this hecks please make a vid. on this so they will make the snipers more powerful
Steady Aim Or Not.. People asume that if you use steady aim its luck.. and if you use a different perk then its skill?! Not really... either way, you cant judge were your bullets are going to go across a map no matter what perk you use.... Maybe its luck, but i couldn't say its all skill... If you hit a no scope everytime you shoot either you have aimbot or its skill... Ive always used steady aim, it has helped me sometimes, but as I said you cant judge were the bullet goes. The Bullet is random
@jackpkour Hitting any no scope is pure luck since you can't influence where the bullet goes. By using steady aim the cross hairs are closer together so it increases your chances of hitting a no scope but it's still luck regardless. Players use a different perk to challenge themselves when sniping but it's not more skillful at all.
Personally I find it easier to use another perk other then steady aim when quickscoping. But that's just me.
i agree that steady aim does make it easier to no scope. when i use steady aim and i try for no scopes i hit them like 75% of the time. but if I'm using like marksman or dead silence ill never hit a no scope no matter how many times i try..
Definitely agree that its HOW a person states their opinion that matters. Why be an asshole and tell someone that they are flat out wrong? Personally I'd like to hear what people have to say, they might even drop something I can use to improve my game. Instead of "you use this and you are such an asshole" instead say "thats not how I would personally do this, how/why does it work for you?" ect. Im just tired of all the bullshit trash talking that goes on in this game.
i just want to say i use steady aim and i noticed that on black ops i was alot better with steady aim but on mw2 & 3 i found that it doesnt really matter but i do still use it, and i totally agree with you who cares if i use steady aim so what if i dont use ninja or dead silence or perks like that its my choice not yours thanks for this video man i've always loved watching you, you got me into sniping and making montages and it would mean alot to me if you could check them out keep it up bro
my opinion- steady aim makes your no scope slightly more skillful simply because the spread of the crosshairs is less. so when you no scope your chance of hitting it is increased % wise. without steady aim its less of a chance % wise. it also requires a steady aim user to aim the crosshairs more accurately because the crosshairs are smaller SO the spread of the bullet is less. this is why i think steady aim makes no scoping require more skill then without steady aim. more aiming then praying.
Me, i think that ppl shud stop bugging ppl about there choice of playing ,hecze is a great sniper he is intilted to his opinon on his class setup withot critasism i use steady aim online and deadsilence in private i thank you hecze for having open arms on other ppls opionons
Well here is my theory big fan by the way steady aim is to make sniping easier but at the same time it dosent because it's helps too me with drag scoping because I tested it out and it seemed efficient while moving but not staying still and one question I am getting a pvr and Ive been a bug fan of optic since I was 13 can I Plz tryout my Psn is JustinsLegend contact me anytime
It was ridiculous in MW2 because nobody was using Steady Aim purely because they wanted to retry trickshots 1294 times with Commando on. If the no fall-damage perk was in Perk Tier 1 or 2, they would've been using Steady Aim as their 3rd Perk because that's simply what's practical.l
Plus, it makes no sense at all to say: "Wtf, you want your shot to have more chance of hitting who you're shooting at? YOU'RE BAD, BRO."
I can't belive anyone would use steady aim in this game. Marksman is a way better perk, the same goes for dead silence. I always feel like im at a disadvantage in this game with steady aim. The same goes for mw2. Ninja is probably the best perk ever, yet everyone runs around without steady aim and commando (wtf?) Doesn't matter to me, because I can hear everyone because of that.
@krulan Ok you said ninja is probably the best perk ever IYO I'm guessing.I would have to disagree. The best perk ever would have to be stopping power IMO and I think that can be a proven fact to.Almost every single person that plays CoD4,W@W and MW2 use stopping power especially if you snipe a sniper wouldn't dare not use stopping power.Ninja is one of the best perks ever with sleight of hand, scavenger, marathon(unlimited sprint) and sitrep pro but the best is stopping power IMO with out a doubt.
@KratosMayhem Yes obviously, but I didn't really think about stopping power when I said that. You pretty much have to use stopping power anyway, that's why I didn't think about it.
I disagree about if a no-scope takes skill or not. I think skill and luck don't have to eachothers opposites. If you do some weird shit in the air and follow by a no-scope, the actual trick takes skill but the noscope is as consistent as a spawnshot across the map. It doesn't matter what type of no-scope it is. The no-scope part is pure luck but the situation can take alot of skill. Also a quick reaction takes skill.
I am gonna bring marksmen into the picture if you are a quick scoper then just weed your enemy out and then q s him and if your the normal sniper (hard scoper) then just do the same but no quick scope and steady aim can make you hit more no scopes but it would be harder with it and if your using a different (green) perk it would cause more skill if you knew where your target was but outta pure luck it wouldn't matter
Yo man I totally agree on the subject and just it's that some ppl are just idiots and have to hate on the people who are successful at what they do such as your self good job keep up the good shit
I believe steady aim does make sniping easier. It closens your crosshairs giving you a smaller area to determin where to scope in. The last week or two i have been using steady aim and i get clips way more often. Though i do think Marksmen is the better perk when sniping. For ffa specifically, dead silence is a must.
But i do agree that when somebody hits a distance no-scope in a trickshot, yes its cool, but is comletely luck other than you putting the enemy somewhere in those crosshairs.
i dont know. steady aim is helpfull. because for those reaction shot like hecz just got on this vid (even though he wasnt using steady aim) so i dont know what do you guys think. steady aim helpful or pointless?
@HECZWE i have to agree and disagree...steady aim most only comes in handy when you a quick responser and/or in close encounters, thats when i feel it comes in handy most because your bullet goes to your object with a better percentage...i agree with @SlowScoping cause the bullets are still random because the crosshair is still big..dead scilence is helpful if your funning around alot in any gamemode...but marksman helps if you want to keep your distance..steadyaim is for better close encounters
yes steady aim can help u with sniping if u always black scope but then again it helps with noscopes a lotand thats probably y the always use it... i use comando or ninja but if im goin for stuff like across the map noscopes i might put steady aim on
I can see how some ppl think steady aim helps cause it does make cross hairs smaller and easier to line up your shot be 4 u scope in i personaly use steady aim but in all codz be 4 i never used steady aim till mw3 but i dont think it makes it better than some 1 not using steady aim
Steady aim is just a perk for noscoping .. but when you first start quickscoping and getting used to sniping online its better to use it because it helps .
I only use it for games i know will be consistent .
I dont use Steady Aim, and I have my reasons, i feel it is too easy to NoScope, I feel like a perk like Stalker makes it harder to NoScope, but Steady Aim dosen't help you when You "Qs"
I don't care if anyone use Stedy Aim, they arren't bader og better than me if they use it!
BTW keep up the good work!
I am going to USA this Summer To Maimi or Las Vegas I Hope i could meet you sometime Iam a very big fan :P
I agree with you where there's going to be people that disagree with you because no ones the same and like you said if everyone is the same then we all will be using reg guns! well i'm just saying its true what your saying! (:
I use Marksman just because there are certain situations where I hold my breath and take my shot... and it lets me see the farther players easier on my standard def tv.
H3CZ I have to agree with pred, steady aim doesnt help quickscoping only no scopes. All it does is just make your cross harriers smaller. One person can use steady aim and do just as good as using any other perk. Well anyways keep up the good work man, wish I could meet you in person some time. Big fan :)
Okay , from a competative point of veiw; ive been sniping (competatively) for 2/3 years now , ive stopped and chilled and moved to xbox now , anyway , i never used steady aim , in a clan match , if you used it , you was either disqulified or just abused. this sorto f put me off the idea of it, the thing is about h3cz ,is he can change my opinion like that.(click) so i might use it online or not , but i have allways been comfortable with no steady aim , but i may change , thank you.! :D
I use Dead Silence for FFA and SND. In game types like Dom/Ground War, it helps out when in close range situations to use Steady Aim. I have to admit, it can make sniping way easier for someone who is getting started and needs that little assist, but when you pretty much have quickscopes down without needing the crosshairs (like most of us) then it doesn't really matter. I prefer Dead Silence, but I will use Steady Aim just whenever I want to mess around with some no scopes. :D
I agree, it does help u quick scope & no scope a little better, but it doesnt matter if some uses it. i do ever once in a while. if want to do no scopes in a match, then i believe u should us steady aim to help you out, if u want to. its not cheating. anyway nice commentary HECz.
steady aim is for pussys, plain and simple, it makes your sniping life much, much easyer. shorter cross hairs = quicker quickscoping because they are all ready shorter and the time it takes to scope in is shorter. not to mention it makes no scopes easyer, yea it may not make it easyer THAT much but it STILL DOES MAKE IT EASYER.
It shows less skill. steady aim is for PUSSY SNIPERS. YOU WANT PEOPLE TO RESPECT YOU? DONT USE STEADY AIM TO MAKE YOUR SNIPING EASYER. NUFF NUFF
In my opinion i think No-scopes altogether are pure luck. unless your aiming down your scope looking for a target. Steady aim has helped me out allot. no just for no-scopes but reg guns as well. I see why some people may not like it but it would be nice to know why, iv never heard anyone say, I don't like Steady aim Because.... Steady aim is the best way to improve accuracy. (At least I think that) even though I don't use Steady aim allot it's still helpful.
3:45 you would have gotten that kill if you had steady aim trolololol. I'm kidding and i agree steady aim snipers piss me off when they qs me, idk why but i've felt like that since i even watched youtube
I don't agree completely steady aim makes ur crosshairs smaller but it makes it quicker to zoom in yes, but even when u zoom in with steady aim u will look in the same place as what u do without steady aim. I personally use blast shield and not quickdraw blast shield is easier for me personally because u have enough time to zoom in and get a precised shot. Just simply everyone has there own oppinions
Okay all igtta say is that Optic is the most successful clan on yt of alltime. Predator and hecz are highly above average players. If usay that hecz is bad, then u r just an ignorant moron. Wth out optic, this community wud be crap. So if u think ur better den optic just stfu, unsubscribe, and quit watching their vids. Btw like this commentary if uwant an optic hecz montage (=... Optic made This community
H3CZ, I agree and disagree to some points, let me state why. First of all, no-scoping with or without steady aim is inconsistent, the bullet goes any where in between the cross hairs, thus making it 'random', so it's luck. No matter what situation it's always luck as the player can't control where the bullet goes.
Using steady aim can also make it easier to 'snipe' as you only have to line up a smaller section of your screen making it more precise and easier to kill them. Requires less skill.
Well I think that it helps you better concentrate your shots for instance. Usually you'll be walking, well always be walking but you get my point. It makes your space on concentration smaller. helping you focus on where your shots leading. Finally, on no scoping so no scoping I think it takes skill and steady aim helps you no scope because your cross hair is smaller. Anyways lols i hope you read this you may not even because its too long so yayz keep uploading the great vids ;D!
stop worrying about the Haterz.. the rest of us dont want to hear about the Haterz for all 9 minutes.. we come to hear about Taco's and Mexican stuff!
now! relax!! we are all part of the MW3 Family!! if they dont like you and want to be idiots! who cares! You get PLENTY of Love! from the rest of us!!
Now! put that sniper / one shot wonder down and play with some other guns! Please!!
steadie aim helps noscope a little thats it but its a lot better in mw3 cuz the pro makes ur gun ready faster after runing ther 4 u can quick scope alot faster and have an advantage
If you hit a no-scope and your using steady aim...what's the difference? Your crosshairs are smaller? No-scoping is too inconsistent to say "you only hit that shot because you were using steady aim", to me it doesn't matter. You might think you hit a no-scope because your using steady-aim, then go into a private match and not be able to hit the same shot again... even with steady aim. If steady aim made your no-scopes 100% straight then that's different, but they don't so that's just my opinon.
@SlowScoping The difference is when hitting a no-scope with or without steady aim is that they are both lucky it just makes it easier when using steady aim, because the bullet goes anywhere in between your cross hairs. Steady aim makes the cross hairs smaller so it's only logical that it makes it easier.
@HECZWE Yo hecz great commentary but I don't agree completely. I don't use steady aim but I don't think think its worse if snipers do. I always use Marksman cus thats what I think is the best perk for sniping in FFA. You have a headset, so the best perk for you is dead silence so you can hear people. If someone else wants to give up those two perks which are probably more useful for a perk that helps maybe once or twice a game for a close range no scope then whatever.
@awilgaming For me steady-aim helps me more like 5-10 a game. The rest of this comment is to everyone that thinks steady-aim is for people that cant snipe. All it does is make your cross-airs smaller making the area your shot will go smaller it doesnt help with quickscoping because you still have to time when in your scope you want to shoot. And the only time no-scoping isnt just luck is when you try to shoot the perosn and get the cross-airs around the player to no-scope.
H3CZ I dont want to start anything but when I see a no-scope I always think of luck. Im not saying that anything you said was wrong but I believe that no matter what the bullet being fired then hitting a small target is a matter of luck. When the character takes up 5% of your crosshairs (un-scoped) and the other 95% is all open I believe that is just luck that the bullet hits within that 5%. However the no-scope you got I still think is luck, but it looked sick man. Keep up the good work.
They do that to get to you. To get under your skin and piss you off to a point where you do something that makes some people lose respect for you. But on the other hand i personally think this is the best commentary I've seen. It was as real as it gets. And I agree 100% with you on pretty much all you said. I'd like to see more commenterys like this:) keep me comin!
What makes it easy to snipe is understanding when to dragscope or when to 'hardscope' and quickscope at certain times,it has nothing to do with chosing the perks you are comfortable playing with.
steady aim is easier in my opinion to no scope and hit shots at a long distance. but dead silence is good so you can get close to your enemy without you hearing and then get kills
With Steady aim its easier to follow your cross hairs & it is kind of easier to no scope . i say kind of because the shot doesn't always connect when the crosshairs are lined up , sometimes no scope can go to some complete different place other than your target .
I'm sorry if I'm not watching all your videos, I don't have a proper internet now so I use my iPhone as a modem. I host a hotspot via that... Its very slow, when I'm watching youtube videos... After Christmas I'll watch all OpTic videos as I did before;)
But @HECZWE shall I get a XBOX after Christmas or HDPVR, I wanna live my dream recording videos, sniping etc. Commentaries, my dream is also to play or talk to you about some stuff over skype or something. You were the first MW commentator i watched. I look up to you Hecz, peace out! oh, got a question, is OpTic Trauma an OpTic member, I got it on my PSN.
Dear HECZ, i agree with you that steady aim is cool but, could you tell me how you have such quick reactions and could you make a vid on your best sniping class please.
Dear HECZ, it helps alot more when your no-scoping because of the reduced recoil. If you use it when your quickscoping, it is easier to "aim down the sight" because of the small crosshairs. You point your target easier. My opinion = I like to use Dead Silence, Marksman and Steadyaim ;)
dear HECZ i completely agree that steady aim makes it easier to snipe!, i was just playing around with it and it feels like quickscoping not to mention b-firing is much more accurate and easier, but i do not understand the hate steady aim users get i just wish kids would stop TROLLING on good commentators and players such as yourself and mostyly predator, but hey I LOVE TOMATOES! lol great vid!
steady aim? NO! noscope is for kids. you wanna kill? kill! dont try like an idiot noscoping coz you will get 2:15. best perk for me as a sniper is sitrep if i hear enemy going for me. i have time to prepare and i dont need reflex shot with steady aim. and if he is going silence? claymore/betty.
i'm a little confused! all i heard you say was steady aim makes sniping easy and im not here to argue with that i think it does, but i didn't hear any reasons or actual points on why do you thinks so!
I kinda agree with u hecz but steady aim is better for begginers and for montages or for people that just want to mess around but I don't think it takes away the skill level of the person I use marksman or dead silence because I want to get really good with a sniper but I also have a steady aim class for when I want to play around

Yes. Steady aim only improves snipers when it comes to no scopes, it makes it slightly easier, when it comes to quickscopes or hardscopes it's all on the player.

hey hecz i think and agree with you about steady aim it helps and stuff and it is one of the best perks in the game after sleight o hand and quick draw :D
KronikKryptonite 1 month ago
Hmm if deep impact was a perk again then steady aim would be 100x more credible.
Back in the older cods you had two choices and that was that. But in this game you can have both the proficiency (which is pure bullshit in this game, doesn't work on half the walls :/) and the perk.
Steady aim is still a viable option, but if deep impact made a return (and returned like cod4) then steady aim would bring a whole new dynamic to the table.

TH3PUN1SH3R92 1 month ago
@TH3PUN1SH3R92 i think its because steady aim helps you line up your shot and quick draw just makes you scope in faster so they are so different aspects in snipeing but i mean compared to using steady aim or not using it. compared to SOH or quick draw. its much harder not using quick draw over steady aim

dead silence made it so u would no longer (like in mw2) have to choose ninja for competitive and commando for trickshotting. I think people should take advantage of that privilege that I think infinity ward purposely made for us snipers.

and it had always been same for me, no matter small crosshairs, big crosshairs or no at all. After you become confident with your aim, you dont concentrate on crosshairs, but on enemy. It is instinct, it isn't like put crosshairs and enemy in middle. So to summarize it, steady aim fills in the gaps and balances snipers with assaults and smg's.
OrthodoxYT 1 month ago
@HECZWE This is my personal opinion, so no hate. I am PC sniper, played COD4 promod and currently in MW3 ESL. COD4 promod has crosshairs like steady aim and in ESL on MW3 there are no perks. I must say that steady aim is fitting little gap for balancing it with assaults and smg in close range and on MW3 ESL you have to quickscope or use secondary which both are time-consuming options and mostly result in death. I also played Hardcore wars with no crosshairs (read part 2)

@xJWatz Yeah aha :) I've had a few good no scopes.. but I don't focus on them anymore :)
jackpkour 1 month ago
@jackpkour Hitting any no scope is pure luck since you can't influence where the bullet goes. By using steady aim the cross hairs are closer together so it increases your chances of hitting a no scope but it's still luck regardless. Players use a different perk to challenge themselves when sniping but it's not more skillful at all.
Personally I find it easier to use another perk other then steady aim when quickscoping. But that's just me.
imFloorboard 1 month ago
@imFloorboard Yeah well tbh I think everyone will say something different so at the end of the day we are all entitled to our own opinion.. :)

ThENeOnHyBrID 1 month ago
my opinion- steady aim makes your no scope slightly more skillful simply because the spread of the crosshairs is less. so when you no scope your chance of hitting it is increased % wise. without steady aim its less of a chance % wise. it also requires a steady aim user to aim the crosshairs more accurately because the crosshairs are smaller SO the spread of the bullet is less. this is why i think steady aim makes no scoping require more skill then without steady aim. more aiming then praying.

hey HECZ what sensitivity do you play on? cuause ive always played on 10, but i feel like i cant drag scope effectively. any tips?
xXCupcakeMageXx 1 month ago
It was ridiculous in MW2 because nobody was using Steady Aim purely because they wanted to retry trickshots 1294 times with Commando on. If the no fall-damage perk was in Perk Tier 1 or 2, they would've been using Steady Aim as their 3rd Perk because that's simply what's practical.l
Plus, it makes no sense at all to say: "Wtf, you want your shot to have more chance of hitting who you're shooting at? YOU'RE BAD, BRO."
iAmVerySmartLol 1 month ago
I can't belive anyone would use steady aim in this game. Marksman is a way better perk, the same goes for dead silence. I always feel like im at a disadvantage in this game with steady aim. The same goes for mw2. Ninja is probably the best perk ever, yet everyone runs around without steady aim and commando (wtf?) Doesn't matter to me, because I can hear everyone because of that.
krulan 1 month ago
@krulan Ok you said ninja is probably the best perk ever IYO I'm guessing.I would have to disagree. The best perk ever would have to be stopping power IMO and I think that can be a proven fact to.Almost every single person that plays CoD4,W@W and MW2 use stopping power especially if you snipe a sniper wouldn't dare not use stopping power.Ninja is one of the best perks ever with sleight of hand, scavenger, marathon(unlimited sprint) and sitrep pro but the best is stopping power IMO with out a doubt.
KratosMayhem 1 month ago
@KratosMayhem Yes obviously, but I didn't really think about stopping power when I said that. You pretty much have to use stopping power anyway, that's why I didn't think about it.
krulan 1 month ago
I disagree about if a no-scope takes skill or not. I think skill and luck don't have to eachothers opposites. If you do some weird shit in the air and follow by a no-scope, the actual trick takes skill but the noscope is as consistent as a spawnshot across the map. It doesn't matter what type of no-scope it is. The no-scope part is pure luck but the situation can take alot of skill. Also a quick reaction takes skill.
Just though I would share my opinion :D

I believe steady aim does make sniping easier. It closens your crosshairs giving you a smaller area to determin where to scope in. The last week or two i have been using steady aim and i get clips way more often. Though i do think Marksmen is the better perk when sniping. For ffa specifically, dead silence is a must.
But i do agree that when somebody hits a distance no-scope in a trickshot, yes its cool, but is comletely luck other than you putting the enemy somewhere in those crosshairs.

steady aim is for pussys, plain and simple, it makes your sniping life much, much easyer. shorter cross hairs = quicker quickscoping because they are all ready shorter and the time it takes to scope in is shorter. not to mention it makes no scopes easyer, yea it may not make it easyer THAT much but it STILL DOES MAKE IT EASYER.
It shows less skill. steady aim is for PUSSY SNIPERS. YOU WANT PEOPLE TO RESPECT YOU? DONT USE STEADY AIM TO MAKE YOUR SNIPING EASYER. NUFF NUFF

SlowScoping 2 months ago 18
@SlowScoping The difference is when hitting a no-scope with or without steady aim is that they are both lucky it just makes it easier when using steady aim, because the bullet goes anywhere in between your cross hairs. Steady aim makes the cross hairs smaller so it's only logical that it makes it easier.
BLUEBULLET123 2 months ago
@SlowScoping but if you use steady aim you are actually having a smaller amount of space that your shot will hit in hope you understood me there

If someone else wants to give up those two perks which are probably more useful for a perk that helps maybe once or twice a game for a close range no scope then whatever.
awilgaming 2 months ago 8
@awilgaming For me steady-aim helps me more like 5-10 a game. The rest of this comment is to everyone that thinks steady-aim is for people that cant snipe. All it does is make your cross-airs smaller making the area your shot will go smaller it doesnt help with quickscoping because you still have to time when in your scope you want to shoot. And the only time no-scoping isnt just luck is when you try to shoot the perosn and get the cross-airs around the player to no-scope.
PlzStandStill13 2 months ago
H3CZ I dont want to start anything but when I see a no-scope I always think of luck. Im not saying that anything you said was wrong but I believe that no matter what the bullet being fired then hitting a small target is a matter of luck. When the character takes up 5% of your crosshairs (un-scoped) and the other 95% is all open I believe that is just luck that the bullet hits within that 5%. However the no-scope you got I still think is luck, but it looked sick man. Keep up the good work.

steady aim is easier in my opinion to no scope and hit shots at a long distance. but dead silence is good so you can get close to your enemy without you hearing and then get kills

Dear HECZ, i agree with you that steady aim is cool but, could you tell me how you have such quick reactions and could you make a vid on your best sniping class please.
from me

Yes Steady Aim makes Noscoping easier but you H3CZ have proven that you can Noscope without Steady Aim :)

Steady Aim makes it easier to Snipe? Yes
Do I really care about that? No

steady aim? NO! noscope is for kids. you wanna kill? kill! dont try like an idiot noscoping coz you will get 2:15. best perk for me as a sniper is sitrep if i hear enemy going for me. i have time to prepare and i dont need reflex shot with steady aim. and if he is going silence? claymore/betty.

i'm a little confused! all i heard you say was steady aim makes sniping easy and im not here to argue with that i think it does, but i didn't hear any reasons or actual points on why do you thinks so!

Depends what kind of sniper you are.

I kinda agree with u hecz but steady aim is better for begginers and for montages or for people that just want to mess around but I don't think it takes away the skill level of the person I use marksman or dead silence because I want to get really good with a sniper but I also have a steady aim class for when I want to play around
