  • Ewww Marmite is gross -:P Vegemite FTW :D

  • Yes Marmite is from Britain. The NZ version of Marmite is a bit girly, more extreme than Vegemite by less hardcore than Marmite GB.

  • I want those chips.

  • Thumbs up for you not hating vegemite

  • You need to try lamingtons

  • I want to try Vegemite so as Marmite, but I don't know where to buy it. where do I buy it here in California? thanks in advance :D

  • @gcscapati They should have it at an international or health food market. You might have to ask around a bit because I've noticed some places carry one and not the other. However, I'm pretty sure I found both at a place called World Market (they have a food section behind the furniture) so you might want to check there first if you you have one nearby. Good luck!

  • @rosesofsunshine3 next time try/have vegemite with cheese (and) butter on toast, but add a little less of vegemite than you did (in the video)

  • @rosesofsunshine3

Also we dont have "twinkies" here... they sound good xD

  • It burns? It has no chilli and does not burn... it's just salty! I like vegimite! I'm aussie...

  • milo is australian try googling it :D and the new zealand marmite is a variation of the original version from britain~ u definitely put too much vegemite on the toast if this is ur first time trying it. try it with some butter and it'll taste better with time. i cant go without it XD

  • @bambaman789 Oh, interesting! What is it called in New Zealand so I'll know to get it if I see it?

  • @bambaman789 milo is Australian

  • @bambaman789 Milo IS Australian and Marmite is infact originally from England

  • way to much Vegemite on the toast

  • You can buy Milo from any spanish store because they sell it in and import it from Brazil. I don't know if it;s any different from the Australian version, but when I tried it because of community channel, I wasn't impressed.

  • MILO AND MARMITE ARE NEW ZEALAND!

  • also - NUTELLA + MILO = WIN. just mix it together if you're craving chocolate... jst like a spoonful of it... hahahahahha

  • You need to mix vegemite with butter... and not too much of it... =)

  • U NEVER TRIED NUTELLA................D:

lol i eat it by the spoonfull. lol

  • @LeahKaiulani =D im eating nutella sprinkled with milo atm...

  • omg i love love love love all the food u just ate :)

  • Hi "Roses". I'm American, but my heart is in the British Isles. I don't know why. That being true, I have tried a few of the Iconic culture markers of the Brits. Marmite being one of them. It is intensely savory and salty. And for an American, the first reaction is to wonder, "why am I eating this?" Still there is one combination that is incredible! Take two pieces of buttered toast with marmite. Add a few thinly sliced pieces of sharp cheddar cheese. Put the halves together into a sandwich!

  • you should try Pocky (if you haven't already) they're made in japan and they sell strawberry and chocolate ones at walmart that's where I found them... Lol. Or Polish Pierogi Lol. I love tasting food from different cultures as well!! =D

  • well done on the vegemite. Not many non aussies like it. I will be doing a vegemite vlog soon so suscribe if u want to check it out when i post it

  • Mmm, those items looks so yummy! Especially the Nutella and the strawberry stick thing.

Great video! I enjoyed watching you try all those foreign foods from around the world ! :)

  • Marmite is amazing!

\m/ I reccomend it on a cheese sandwich!!

  • I love Marmite ^_^ i spread it more thinly on my toast and marmite and cheese sandwiches are lovely.

Oh and thankyou sooo much for the comment you left on my channel ^_^ it made my day ^_^

  • Great video! You have such an adorable personality :D Props to you for actually trying Vegemite and Marmite on toast! I hate when people just try it straight out of the jar :P I actually made a video about this called 'TOAST', haha. :D And you should definitely try find Milo! It's fantastic! Australians are born and bred on it! Also good to sprinkle on ice-cream as well :D

  • @tezziToo thanks=D I'll watch your Toast video! I actually did make a Milo video... guess I need to remember to readjust the order of the videos on my channel to make it more visible! haha, and yes, I recently tried the Milo on ice cream and you're right, it's super good!!!

  • I'm from Australia and I LOVE vegemite. Most people here grow up with it so it's not so weird to us. I have it every morning on toast for breakfast and in sandwhiches all the time :)

  • Milo is awesome! Yes it is nice to drink, but it is best had sprinkled (or piled) on top of vanilla ice cream.

  • @heirofsorrows thanx, I'll have to try that!

  • That's not pocky. That specific item is called Yan Yan. It's similar to pocky, except, y'know, it's not a pre-dipped biscuit stick.

Also, if you attempt Faustian's suggestion for poi, I suggest dousing it with a bit of sugar. You may not be use to the delicious taro paste taste. :9 Trust me, I'm from the internet--I mean Hawaii.

  • @strawxberri thanks for letting me know... I didn't know what the Yan Yan was called other than that it resembled Pocky but wasn't actually Pocky:) About Poi.. does the taro paste taste a lot different than when it's blended into a boba tea? I almost always order taro flavor when I get boba:)

  • @rosesofsunshine3 I never heard of boba tea before, but I looked it up. I'm gonna try it. It sounds good.

  • @rosesofsunshine3 oh yeah. tastes mucho different than boba

lol poi is alos one of thoes aquired tastes. im hawaiian n i dont care for it much xD

but the sugar does make it taste a little better. :)

  • Great vid! Thumbs Up!

    Just a few suggestions:

    1. For Hawaiian food you should try to get a Spam musubi. Spam is like PB&J on the mainland. If you want to go really authentic Hawaiian try to get some poi.

    2. The Hello Kitty food is actually pronounced "Poe'key" with a slight guttural stop at the apostrophe, even though it's spelled Pocky.

Anyway, really cool vid. I dug it, and you are a braver person than I.

  • Lol. Wow! When you pulled out your toast I looked down at mine. And then you pulled out nutella and I laughed because I was eating my toast with Nutella and banana and I was drinking Milo too. lol.

Kind of a childish breakfast but I liked it. : ]

  • @ETERNALinstants Awesome... sounds like a great breakfast!

  • Great vid. Need to try vegemite, but Nutella is a staple and the bread & pocky sticks are good. Sometimes when I need a snack I load up on dried mangoes

  • Marmite is concentrated evil in a jar ! Even the sight of it makes me sick. You should try Chef Brown Sauce or HP Brown Sauce, spread on a ham or bacon sandwich is absoultely amazing. It's really popular here in Ireland, also a big thing in Britain. I couldn't live without Brown Sauce, or Tayto Crisps !

  • @Darren9592 I agree! Marmite and vegemite is EVIL!

  • I love sampling ethnic candies! Here's my favorites: Indian candy, which is mostly made from nut pastes & spices. You can buy them at Indian markets and Indian candy shops. Ting Ting Jahe brand chewy ginger candy is at Vietnamese and other Asian markets. Turkish Delight (mentioned in Narnia) is at Middle Eastern markets. Velvet Crumble is an Australian candy bar which is like malted milk balls but with a coffee-like flavor. It's great. Most of these things are on Amazon too.

  • @XanaduZune I made a mistake. It's Violet Crumble, not Velvet Crumble. By far the worst candy I ever tried was Durian candy. It's made from that stinky Durian fruit. It's super bad. Jelly Belly makes "BeanBoozled" jelly beans with disgusting flavors in it. I haven't tried those yet. If you try Indian candy, get it freshly made from a shop. It's much better. Just walk into any ethnic grocery store and you'll find a lot of interesting new snacks & candy, especially in Asian grocery stores.

  • @XanaduZune wow, thanks for all the ideas!! I don't think I've ever tried any of those things!!! I'll have to start looking for them soon:)

  • the taste of vegmite is worst than the stolen generation and john howards time as prime minister.

  • I only tried Nutella of those items. But the problem is that is unhealthy :( so I don't eat it.

You MUST try smoked salmon on white bread. Don't think too much about it JUST DO IT^^

It is very good and popular in my parts.

  • nutella is amzing (no acquisition required)

  • @dangerfeild4Life*amazing

  • @dangerfeild4Life Agreed. I freaking love Nutella. lol

  • awesome video!

  • @zpcraft thanks:)
