Because by opening for one of the most well-known bands in the world, they ensure that they will have a full crown every concert. Then they get their name out even more than by headlining their own tour. And they probably got a pretty large profit out of it. Trust me, opening for U2 was a great move for Muse. I already hear people talking about them more...I'm happy for them.
I can't believe it. I tried to go last night, but the traffic was HORRIBLE and I MISSED ALL OF MUSE!!!! So I just had to settle with U2 for the rest of the night.
I'm still pissed. I think they are touring the US in the spring for the Resistance tour, so I will make a note to leave at 7 o'clock in the morning if the concert is at 8 at fedex field.
Are they seriously coming back in the spring? I hope they're doing their own tour because I would like to see them play more than 9 songs, even though they played most of my favorites.
They probably will. They are attempting to gain more popularity in the States , and I read an interview with them and they said their managing team had big plans for the States. So YESSS!! I heard they might go to Bonaroo with the Red Hot Chili Peppers and possible DMB. I would die from the epicness of that concert.
and what exactly does the phrase "U2 is U2" entail? be descriptive because I want to believe- I really do -- all I see these days, especially from Bono, is a bunch of posing, grimacing & self-important lyrics.... for me U2 was awesome when they did "War" after that the grand selling-out commenced

I'm a huge U2 fan...went to this concert, and I become a huge Muse fan. Most of what they played live was the first time I'd ever heard the songs.

You think U2 sucked? I disagree. Muse ruled but U2 is U2.
