Want good armor? :) Go to the corruption get the stuff needed to make worm food, make a boss platform and buy plenty of shurikens, and destroy the eater of worlds, do that 4 times and you got full shadowscale armor + weapons :)

I timed how long it took for me, since I started a new world it took me 1 hour 24 minutes to kill the eater of worlds 4 times.
