@SadMemoriesGone4Ever I can't understand you when you type out what you're muttering to yourself literally. GTFO Burzum pages if all you have to bring to the table is your ominous, eschatologically-toned hyper-religious babbling.
This music makes me reminisce every moment from last winter; in such a pensive state, I find myself in total harmony. Just as I did 1 year ago, I watch as it snows out my backyard, and listen to this song, only to relive every waking moment in the the night, the feeling that is indescribable, but could last a lifetime.....
Although this is seen as "Dark Ambient" music from a Norwegian Black Metal musician, Varg Vikernes makes really nice tunes to meditate to.
Well, once my Japanese sensei told me to meditate to calm serene classical (piano music) then to progress to the actual sounds of nature. Black Metal Ambient seems to be my medium for such meditation.
i've always wanted to visit Norway but goddamn im only 15! This is the first BM album i bought very beautiful.Hope i can someday walk on the church ruins which Varg burnt and listen to this at the same time
Many of them has been rebuilt dude, so you might have to walk inside one to stand on top of the actual "Varg Church ruin". Well, Blackmetal for the win, have to visit Norway too, have a look around, i´d like to see the place where "Helvete" used to be, in Oslo. Blackmetal 4 life.
haha cool! how old r u? :) I'm not even old enought to go on a trip on my own, in 2 years, i'll be off for a "europe tour" and then, im fucking going there :D Those Norwegians are rich motherfuckers :D
I really hope i can go to Norway soon i really love dark and creepy cold winter with death in the air and especially in Nowray it's beautiful at winter!
Proof that unlike today's music, Varg pours every drop of his emotion out of him and into the music, making it feel like so much more than repetitive style. Makes me feel bad for the people who sterotype and judge this kind of music instead of really listening to it.
Words can not describe the emotion I received from listening to this. What made it perfect was because it was 3 am in the morning with the house pitch black and not a sound could be heard while I looked out my bedroom window onto the graveyard across from my backyard and watched as it snowed while the ground was covered in white death along with the sky revealing a very blood red tint. I can definitely say Varg knew what he was doing when he made his music.
I can relate. I was looking outside yesterday. It was a cloudy day and the sky had just begun to darken, and I saw a patch of leafless trees and the first thing I thought of was Burzum.
Amazing you should say that. I can picture it right now... Just amazing. Burzum quick became one of my favourite bands because of this. I was listening to "Illa Tiðandi" one night in the middle of an Australian plain when I was camping. The slight scent of cinder from the camp fire and the stars above made me realise just how insignificant we are.
Varg didn't just make music. He literally poured every last drop of his soul into it. And that's why he remains as one of my favourite musicians.
Add Finland, Sweden and Ireland to that and it would be complete. Make sure you walk in a desolate, snowy forest alone otherwise your vist will not be complete.
You've successfully made me jealous. As soon as I'm able to, I'm leaving Australia for Norway. Hopefully there is something worth being around for in Norway.
I feel things are quite unique to the bearer, including music. It takes a special mind to create this type of music. The people who can are life-savers.

If you like his stuff, I recommend you these bands; Evilfeast, ColdWorld, Xasthur & Forest Silence.
