  • @zyxua it scares you doesn't it?

  • learned this song, one of the first on synth as I was young and loved Burzum's synth musicso much. Please listen to this in reverse too. It is just as eerily beautiful or even more so. Early 90's black metal, death metal, and dark ambient music was so much better than it is now. Hail.

  • Varg was the one who brought ambient music into black metal for the first time.

If you like his stuff, I recommend you these bands; Evilfeast, ColdWorld, Xasthur & Forest Silence.

  • This is Real Music...

  • this is not a song. burzum is not a band and his art is not music, these are spells. i read that somewhere, and how true it is.

  • @Baldy266 not a more true word said my son

  • @Baldy266 It is a song. Burzum is a band because they are compromised of a human what uses instruments to make music.

  • A prelude and primitive look to what would later become his masterpieces of ambient!

  • One of the best instrumental song from BURZUM,

    SUPREME NORDIC ART!

  • WORSHIP HIM!

  • Ah, now I see why those are the lyrics

  • anybody else wann talk about black metal or how to get blood off a wall, hit me up.....

  • Sounds like you're wandering through a magical land of the dead, people are wrong, you don't need a guitar to make real music.

    \m/.......Hail VARG......\m/

  • It sound like The Final Hour from The Legend of Zelda Majorak Mask

  • ... worship me ...

  • please, anyone who knows me, play this at my fenural

  • None is worthy of worship but G-d (One True Supreme Creator of the Heavens and earth). Every soul shall have a taste of death. Thus resurrected to be Judged by the Greatest Judge. Peace....

  • @SadMemoriesGone4Ever You have a judgmental imaginary friend, lol.

  • @marloweowsley Greetings. sorry i meant to say don't disagree. not don't judge me. lol..oh sh.. afta all lese years. just agree w/o morality, huh? enjoy sincerity..

  • @SadMemoriesGone4Ever I can't understand you when you type out what you're muttering to yourself literally. GTFO Burzum pages if all you have to bring to the table is your ominous, eschatologically-toned hyper-religious babbling.

  • Worship me....

  • This song definatley describes the way im feeling now...

  • This is an amazing piece of music, it creates such an overwhelming atmoshpere.

  • All on my own

    Sitting in the dark

    Listening to Burzum

    Howling at the moon

    Mhuirhevnamor Dundalk Ireland

  • The only negative part with this song is that it is too short.

  • i don't know you guys, but when i listen to this song it makes me feel like getting high, painting a pentagram and do dark stuffs

  • @elfirebrand haha. lets do dark stuffs!

  • Ulver rule, vikingskippen! I really like "Quentin Blake's Marriage of Heaven and Hell" Album. Very much like this.

  • That's the nordic Spirit!

  • I prefer the 'Demo I' 's song

  • So Dark and Beautiful This would be considered gothic in a way such dark beauty

  • such a dark yet beautiful song

  • Part of this melody is from Black Spell of Destruction's solo at the end.

  • night time music....!!!~~~

  • jordan é tu meu filho

o cabeçinha chata é vc mesmo?

o da peixera? se for n fica bravo n ta rss

  • There's something in this music. Can't grab it with my hands, but this is just remarkable.

Sry for my bad english. I com from Germany.

  • This music is not to be listened, is to be felt.

  • @Sharghath666 i couldn't be more agreed.

  • @Sharghath666 You have to listen to it to hear it (and hence, know it/experience it) though. Secondly, I doubt music can be 'felt'.

  • if you like this, check out procession of the dead clowns, by blut aus nord.

    and eos, by ulver.

  • @Filmifreaki dann schreib deutsch :) ist doch nix dabei :) ...

  • This music makes me reminisce every moment from last winter; in such a pensive state, I find myself in total harmony. Just as I did 1 year ago, I watch as it snows out my backyard, and listen to this song, only to relive every waking moment in the the night, the feeling that is indescribable, but could last a lifetime.....

  • I know what you mean, certain songs I listen to bring back vivid memories from the past... It's a great feeling.

  • Although this is seen as "Dark Ambient" music from a Norwegian Black Metal musician, Varg Vikernes makes really nice tunes to meditate to.

Well, once my Japanese sensei told me to meditate to calm serene classical (piano music) then to progress to the actual sounds of nature. Black Metal Ambient seems to be my medium for such meditation.

  • i've always wanted to visit Norway but goddamn im only 15! This is the first BM album i bought very beautiful.Hope i can someday walk on the church ruins which Varg burnt and listen to this at the same time

  • Many of them has been rebuilt dude, so you might have to walk inside one to stand on top of the actual "Varg Church ruin". Well, Blackmetal for the win, have to visit Norway too, have a look around, i´d like to see the place where "Helvete" used to be, in Oslo. Blackmetal 4 life.

  • whatever im gonna burn it again :P

and yes i'd love to see Helvete too.

Norway is such a beautiful place

  • haha, im not that against christianity, im more for the blackmetal and its violent sort of harmony.

  • hah i was only joking i have nothing against christians either. im more like you

Hope i get flight tickets to Norway from santa claus :P

  • haha cool! how old r u? :) I'm not even old enought to go on a trip on my own, in 2 years, i'll be off for a "europe tour" and then, im fucking going there :D Those Norwegians are rich motherfuckers :D

  • im only 15 year old True Metalhead kid (:

I really hope i can go to Norway soon i really love dark and creepy cold winter with death in the air and especially in Nowray it's beautiful at winter!

And good luck with your Europe Tour! :D

  • haha, im atleast 16 ;) xD

  • Norway is beautiful at winter time, and every time winter comes, I get in the mood for black metal :)

  • Muutetaa Norjaa :D

  • worship... me ....

  • Proof that unlike today's music, Varg pours every drop of his emotion out of him and into the music, making it feel like so much more than repetitive style. Makes me feel bad for the people who sterotype and judge this kind of music instead of really listening to it.

  • Awesome dark ambient synths!!!

  • cool song name

  • Burzum is the best

  • Beatiful!

  • im worshiping im worshiping

  • This song is so good, dark and haunting.

  • Words can not describe the emotion I received from listening to this. What made it perfect was because it was 3 am in the morning with the house pitch black and not a sound could be heard while I looked out my bedroom window onto the graveyard across from my backyard and watched as it snowed while the ground was covered in white death along with the sky revealing a very blood red tint. I can definitely say Varg knew what he was doing when he made his music.

  • that's the best comment i ever read on youtube man.

varg vikernes is just the most talented musician ever walked on earth

  • your not serious right.....?

  • ya i am

  • Wow. That's like the perfect view for this song.

I can so picture it infront of me.

This song is amazing. I can just close my eyes and drift away from everything. Just try it. Lay back and just let go.... It's great.

  • I can relate. I was looking outside yesterday. It was a cloudy day and the sky had just begun to darken, and I saw a patch of leafless trees and the first thing I thought of was Burzum.

  • Amazing you should say that. I can picture it right now... Just amazing. Burzum quick became one of my favourite bands because of this. I was listening to "Illa Tiðandi" one night in the middle of an Australian plain when I was camping. The slight scent of cinder from the camp fire and the stars above made me realise just how insignificant we are.

Varg didn't just make music. He literally poured every last drop of his soul into it. And that's why he remains as one of my favourite musicians.

  • Im reading your comment and its making alot of sense to me since i am in the snowy Tasmanian Mountains..... Funny how music makes you feel...

  • I've made it a destination for myself to visit Cradle Mountain one day. I'de love to see that area. Sounds... Desolate.

Since that comment, I've found A LOT more music that is reminiscent of Burzum. You probably already know about them though.

  • Cradle moutain is great.

my goal is norway :) going there in 2 years.

  • Add Finland, Sweden and Ireland to that and it would be complete. Make sure you walk in a desolate, snowy forest alone otherwise your vist will not be complete.

  • I want to viset the church ruins of which varg burnt down.

and i want to walk through the pagan ruins where the immortal clip was filmed (where varg used to play as a child)

Then maybe i will understand what he was thinking whilst making this beautiful music.

  • You've successfully made me jealous. As soon as I'm able to, I'm leaving Australia for Norway. Hopefully there is something worth being around for in Norway.

I feel things are quite unique to the bearer, including music. It takes a special mind to create this type of music. The people who can are life-savers.

  • I cant wait. ill only be 18 but i dont care. i have money saved up allready.

A part of my soul needs to see what it was like for him.

  • Strange, isn't it.

  • Well, if you're into metal and black metal, Norway is def the place to go. Combine this type of songs (Channeling the souls) and Norwegian nature, and your worries and troubles are no more. ;-)

  • And that is EXACTLY why I cannot wait. Perhaps that's what Varg felt.

Also, what does my user name read as to you?

  • Your username means winterwalking/ winterwandring :D

  • Aweeeeeeeeeeeesome! My EXTREMELY limited Norwegian language skills worked.

  • (y) That's great!

  • There is something worth... U'll be near sweden :D

  • @firebat42 you live across from a graveyard? well if that isn't a view, i don't know what is.

  • @firebat42 I am also overwrought with emotion when I listen to this track. What you describe is the perfect feeling. Varg is a musical genius!

  • @firebat42 i listened to it standing alone by the river, at 11:57 pm, all was quiet, no one was around and to top it off, i was mildly drunk

  • @purpleshrykull I can imagine it. Some of the best feelings, right?

  • @purpleshrykull Why were you standing alone by a river at 11:57 PM?

  • @superchef78 because i was out drinking with some mates of mine. they ran off on me and left me by myself, sufficiently tipsy, standing on the edge of a strongly flowing river. what great friends...

  • @firebat42 i got chills running down my back as i pictured it

  • this sent my brother running out of my room XD

  • Lol why? Its not that hard xD

  • i know, im the only one in my family who is not a superstitious christian and they think

the music i listen too will get me possessed and blablabla

and it was a few days before Halloween so they assumed that it was some kinda ritual and what not

  • hehehe, you mustve had a laugh out of that! : D

  • yes, it was quite funny

he nearly tripped over one of the cats >.>
