anybody need the laser disk version transfered to dvd? not available in the USA! not too many people have it! dont buy the one from IOFFER! it's a vcr transfer!
My dad was like "I am NOT taking you to see anymore of this shit unless you pay for it..." lol I had subjected him to both 'Megaforce' and 'Metalstorm: the destruction of Jared-Syn' in fairly short succession.
I will admit the acting was rather amateurishness and most probably the 20 million dollar budget went to pay for vehicle design and stunt work. But remember this was the early 80s Ronnie was president and we were #1 in the world so why not have a feel good action orientated flick. Don't bad mouth Bostwick to much He played George Washington in a mini series and I believe got a Emmy for it .
This does take me back to those childhood days when futuristic technology was the start of the movie. One thing I will say is that those bikes wouldn't be able to carry much ammo to do much harm to anything in a real combat situation. It might be good in law enforcement if you could make mini missiles that actually had any punch.
This is quite possibly the greatest piece of american cinematic history ever....those who say otherwise stroke their own cocks to Coldplay songs...just sayin
What we need is to make a movie with exploding balls and guys in tight spandex riding motorcycles that shoot missiles and Michael Cain! Man, am I wasted!
@SBGGCA Thanks. FYI after I posted this I went & looked at a B-Movie review site & they sais there is a guy who actually can provide the soundtrack! IDK how if it was never made originally but heck I'll try him.
@son8of8vazkor In more ways than one. The FAV's (Fast attack Vehicles) that were built for this film (The dune buggy looking things) were taken by the Army after Filming and are the basis of the FAV's the Army still uses today.
@CaptCamping the old due was named Edmond Mulhare. and he had done tons of action flicks from the 50's throuugh the 80's. He was in an army film called wild geese, a great flick.
lol, i know right? talk about cornball!!! also, How the f*ck could they see each other if the plane was flying toward her and he was standingon the ramp in the back part of the plane?
Saw it when I was a kid. Even then, I knew it was the worst thing I've ever seen. It was even good camp. It was basically The Road Warrior for the mentally challenged.

I remember DYING to see this in the theatres when I was 8. There were these big color poster ads in comic books and shit...'deeds not words'
Still though, even though I thought the vehicles were cool when I did see it...even at 8 I realized it was a pretty shitty movie overall.

Awesome. I reckon trey Parker and matt stone need to lampoon this kind of film as a sort of follow on from team America. It would rule.

My question: other than the Journey song was there ever a offical soundtrack released?

@lst1195 No, there was never a soundtrack album. But the theme song was performed by 707, not Journey.

"Megaforce" was presented by Golden Harvest and released through Fox.
Watcher3223 2 years ago
Directed by the same guy (Hal Needham) who did "Canonball Run," so you know this is going to be good!
:-p
In all seriousness, this was a really bad movie. Perfect for MST3K, except the copyright is still enforced by Fox.
And, with how the music is and seeing Edward Mulhare, you somehow keep thinking that KITT is going to appear.
