  • Green, Corolla is right. Thats 270hp from the engine (its actually 273). Everycar experiance drive train loss, so they're never running that much hp. For eample, a V6 B5.5 can have 190hp, but do to drive train loss, he has 160whp (hp at the wheel). RWD loose about 10% of their engine hp, FWD around 8% I think. But AWD cars loose even more, often 15-20% of their HP. Ask any W8 owner whos dynod their car, its around 205ph at the wheel...(though Dynos are usually off by a good 10hp...)

  • ok, 270 horsepower at the crank. the motor hooks up to the tranny at the crank. now take your 270 horsepower from the crank. keep in mind that 270 hp is turning the transmission, the transmission is turning the axels the drive shaft and the rear end. each wheel is getting 50.7 wheel horse power. 50.75x4= 203whp

  • Yes it is a W8, why would I lie, jackass!! The only things done are GIAC tune, custom exhaust and intake. Numbers are realistic.

    Probably not. Automatic have lock-ups at a certain rotation speed and therefore there's no more mechanical effeciency loss in the drivetrain compared to a manual transmission.

    and this care have normaly a maximum tourque about 370Nm at 2750 engine speed

  • nope. 279 from factory at crank. with awd and tipronic, the loss is high. I have GIAC tune and custom intake and exhaust. so not too bad. right about where I thought it would be.
