Im pretty sure everybody who says that the vocalist sucks have been listening to way too much modern Metal. His vocals in fact are a old style of Unclean Vocals. You don't hear Unclean Vocals like these much anymore in most modern or even famous Metal bands. If you guys want "brutal" go listen to some Deathcore or Death Metal. Or even particular Post-Hardcore bands if you know where to find them. Stop talking about it if you don't appreciate it.

I will agree with you, his scream needs some work, but overall he is doing it right. Hell, just look at ATR's album "Behind Silence and Solitude". If you listen to Phil's scream, it sounds forced. As his technique progressed, his scream became more pronounced and even became clearer. All it takes is time and practice.

I am not going to judge this band based on my personal taste in music. Nobody of us should. Let's face it, how many of us are in a band that has released an entire album and a music video? BUT: I really think the singer needs more power. He somehow does not match the instrumentals. The instruments are awesome, except for parts like 2:52. That just sounds generic to my ears.
