the annoying thing is that people who grew up in the 70s and 80s era of music have lived through a good period of good music. growing up in the auto-tuned 20s, the music in comparison to those decades before is really weak. so i proudly and thankfully listen to fantastic tracks such as this over most modern malarky.

the string arrangement on this song was by Paul Buckmaster who arranged all of Elton Johns great seventies songs like Levon and Tiny Dancer. the fact that this album was so roundly ignored is a sad testament to the fact that audience tastes have been dumbed down by an industry that only wants to feed people lowest common denominator tunes. maybe in the future this album will be rediscovered. I mean, Nobody bought Nick Drakes albums while he was alive. Heres Hoping it happens.
