  • @MrJasonSmarts they are/were both queer so you work it out.....

  • i dont like this interviewer and i dont think freddie does either lol loved how he responded thats there problem to being told that lots of australian/american ppl only like heavy metal

  • Molly your a fuck wit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i dont think these intervewiers realise how lucky they are to be talking to a god

  • @BananaSandwich1 Because back in those days he was not a god just a singer in a band you dimwitt. And Queen got very negative press everywhere they went. Do some fucking research. Not just watch Youtube videos and write shit.

  • who is the best singer song writer? silly question

  • A true legend, Timeless music. so funny when he flips off at the camera at 1.13.

  • Freddie was truly a gorgeous man. He had so much charisma and so much character and just a love!! A real love!! Oh how I miss him!! A true loss to this world the day we lost him. :( R.I.P. Freddie. Forever missed and forever loved!! ♥♥

  • damn i wish i could of lived in the 70s and 80s to see them live and get Freddie's autograph

but no,i have to live with all the sh!t music (make that muzak) that is churned out and has no talent in it at all...

    WE MISS YOU FREDDIE!!!

  • so great to hear Freddie praise Led Zeppelin

  • Can't believe he's part Indian.

  • @mzrealm

    Who cares where he's from.

    He's amazing! <3

  • sorry,I cant help my self.

  • freddies real name is frokh bulsara

  • @thefluffydaisy No, his birthname was Farrokh Bulsara but he changed it to Freddie Mercury :) So his real name was actually Freddie Mercury :D

  • @thefluffydaisy Frokh... try Farrokh.(: And he shortened his name to Freddie, then when playing the song My Fairy King he changed his stage name to Freddie Mercury, inspired by the part about mother mercury.

  • @Joshuaovfitzy I agree Aids was way to new and unknown for the general public . . And in the begaining it wasnt known comden use helped NOT to get Aids, NOW we take it for granted you need comdens every time. I am very sure Freddie got tested in 1987 since the info came from Brain May. . I am a bit confused as to ratter it was HIV or Aids when he found out. Either way he could have had the virus for 3 tor even 5 years and not known. So, many good people we have lost to Aids

  • @JohnfromPerth do not believe EVERYTHING you hear / read. As he was a very private person we simply will never know the full true story

  • What a pretty sight, Freddie Mercury sat down looking happy and the Sydney harbour as the background scenery! :)

  • "That's their problem."

  • I loved him for 3 years.

  • Freddy is rocking a sweet 'stache at this period

  • Only the good die young!

  • molly is the shittest interviewer. Asks question then turns his back.

  • When the guy asked Freddie who is the best singer/songwriter, Freddie should have said "me"

  • @djuuwi What an absolutely stupid question for Molly to ask. I think Freddie couldn't believe he was asking him that. Molly get with it! of course Freddie should have said a million times over "me", "me", "me".

  • I WANT TO BREAK FREEEEEEE!!!!

  • Have somebody noticed that it is getting completely dark during the interview?

  • Nice to see Freddie speak of Heavy Metal!

  • gorgeous.

  • OMG, you can tell that Molly wanted Freddie!! lol

  • Grande Freddie!

  • Piers Morgan would've done a brilliant interview with Freddie...this boring lame-o of an interviewer is rubbish..

    <3 Freddie

  • Do I see a middle finger towards the camera at 0:11 ? :D

  • Freddie seems pissed off in this interview.

  • Stay up for 72hrs at atime and see how personable you are...

  • What?

  • @MrFfuckUp when does he not look pissed off when doing an interview lol

  • In response to MAX. I believe you are correct. I read that Freddie Knew that he was HIV positive 7 years before his in death in late 1991.

  • I agree, I read that he took the tests as early as 1984, and they were positive, he only wanted to make sure

  • omg i love his accent! <3

  • I believe that at this time Freddie knew that he had Aids. Listen to his comment about Russia and performing at 1:30.

  • @MAXHALEIGHLUKAS I heard from Brian May interviews Freddie found out just after EASTER 1987. It seems that is what most that were around him think. But it could have been 1984 or he suspected it in 1984 but didnt get tested untill 1987. He was such a private person, who knows for certian,, well maybe Mary Austin knows for certain. Of course you can be infected for 3 years before symtems show

  • Fuck the lot of you.

  • HAHAHA at 1:12 freddie sneaks the middle finger

  • true, rofl

  • How extraordinary to have the chance to speak with Freddie

  • woahh freddie is beautiful^^

  • Isn't he a hottie lol

  • So handsome, sexy, sweet, kind, clever, talented.... LOVE YOU FREDDIE......

  • The interviewer is a twat,

you can even see on freddies face that he agrees lmao

  • haha!

  • Lovely .... FREDDIE Forever And Ever .

  • Queen is in every category. I realized that when i was just a kid sitting there playing my records.

  • He is so right about Russia at that time! "I don't think they are quite ready for us yet"

He was a very intelligent person!

  • well, it wasn't like that. Actually, Queen was one of the first bands appeared on Russian TV in those days. And the they become very popular even among people from government. And I started to believe that, when my parents told me, that Queen live shows has been translated many many times, which was very unusual, of course.

  • I love it at 3:11 after Molly says some people like heavy metal and nothing else, and Freddie says "That's their problem"! He was just amazing! : )

  • Classic Freddie! Doesn't make you love him even more? :) It's all too true freddiemercury4evr!

  • I think he was referring to a lot of heavy metal fans who are ignorant to any other kind of music.

  • Gee Molly you must of had a stiffy throughout that whole interview,

  • FREDDIE I LOVE YOU............

  • Please turn down the background music. I want to hear Freddie speak not sing this time.

  • What a nice, gracious, down to earth quietly spoken guy. It's really sad that he died. He was a brilliant singer and an equally brilliant showman. Sadly missed.

  • ok everyone ignore every comment that withetubbe says, he cleary is a lonely attention seaker and gets off when other people react to his immature comments. pass this on everytime you see a comment from him

  • Yes, Freddie, you tried to visit Russia... I was on the concert at 15th of September, 2008... The band did it... but without you... :`(

  • RyanScottMoulton, show that you have just a little brain. Your comment and your false rating on my cover shows the absolutely absence of it. =)

  • well im actually only 13 and i see yu said they did it without him and so that means he died or he couldnt make it and i thought it meant he died so srry

  • ok everyone ignore every comment that withetubbe says, he cleary is a lonely attention seaker and gets off when other people react to his immature comments. pass this on everytime you see a comment from him

  • What a dead on dude

  • Not at all

  • DIE

  • Hammer

  • what a cool guy.

this interview was this and that.

and freddie is like yeah , thats cool yeah.

    haha thats class.

  • Does anyone know if he ever wanted to have kids? I know its a random question, but anyone know?

  • When his girlfriend in the '70es, Mary Austin, asked him if he wanted to have kids with her, he answered he'd rather buy another cat...

  • yes, after he was diagnosed with aids. He had very strong fatherly feelings. There's a video on youtube showing Freddie playing with Mary Austin's son. It showed Freddie's true nature - he was extremely caring.

  • Is your dad still in the hospital?

  • That hat might be over the top...

  • dude

i would of never guessed he was gay, he seems straight to me

  • Its the moustache that gives it away LOL

  • @snowstormcan maybe because he is dead and can not speak for his self. And back then even in the Gay community they didnt know then what we know now

  • he was bisexual

  • kencerned, He was gay! just because he was involved with a women years before he came out does not mean by any means that he was bi. He said one time when asked if he was bi, he replied that im completely gay. So yea im not being sarcastic or anything just stating what i heard him say in an interview one time.

  • Hmm.. interesting to know..

He was undoubtedly of exceptional talent. Makes me wonder if he did these things to project a cooler image of himself considering he was born to conservative Indian parents, trying to fit in the western world.

I haven't yet heard of anyone in Rock 'n Roll who can sing those scales as effortlessly as he did.

  • @kencerned well too you have to wonder how much is rummor / hersay and how much is actualu true. I am not saying Freddie was a perfact saint, who is but you can write or say anything a bout a person once they are dead, how will they be able to admit or deny anything. As to his music performance that was when he was Freddie Mercury off stage was more when he was the private person of Eastern Asian herritage. being private is why he didnt like interviews and why he was so flippant with answers

  • no freddie was bi becuz if he was gay he wouldn't of never been in love with Mary and he even wrote the song love of my life for her and they were together for SIX years. he was bi he was prolly jus lying when he said that

  • @newradfan9 Freddie was ALWAY very flip when answering personal qustions, not to lie or mislead but because he was a very private person so he may have saied one thing one time and give a different flipant answer the next. But he ws like that in all private areas of his life

  • Reportedly, Freddie was annoyed at the start of this interview, because shortly before he and Molly Meldrum had this argument over safe sex (both men were... well, Molly was gay, Freddie was gay or bi), Molly thought Freddie was being careless, and Freddie disagreed, so yeah, they basically had a small row.

  • Freddie hated to be interviewwed an often did not like the way the press portrayed him. That is why he was like this with interviewers he did not know. He was shy. I don't know where you go your information that he was mad at this guy for telling him he was having unsafe sex. I think you just are not telling the truth. That never happened.

  • Well, you're half right. I did hear it from somebody, but the hearing it from somebody is just hearsay so I could be completely wrong.

  • Well a lot of fans contrive meaning into things about stars that are private, Freddie was great at keeping things he didn;t want talked about a closed matter. In other things, he coyly broach subjects, just brushing certain topics, ie; personal life. I will say it is obvious in this interview he is closed to the interviewer, because the press in Britain and Austraila were very harsh and rather conservative and were more interested in his sex life than his music.

  • @ItalianAngel1970 why shouldnt he have kept his sex / private life private. I sure dont think it was a matter of public concern he wasnt sleeping with the interviewers or public at large. We / they were not his buddies, why tell then what they have no bussines asking or knowing

  • Seriously?

  • Freddie was the hottest gaylord ever!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm a big Stevie Wonder fan and a big Queen fan too so I'm so happy that he mentioned Stevie! Thought that was so cool! Thanks for sharing. Love this!

    Heidi

  • look at the video"COME(LIKE)FREDDIE MERCURY"

  • freddie allways will live on love you darling

  • love you

  • omg i fucking love him so much. i hope he knows in spirit werever or watever hes doing right now i hope he knows i love him.

  • freddie our smile for you are still on our face thank you,

you will stay my hero till the end of time

  • King Mercury

  • Un grande cantante che rimarrà nei nostri cuori. La sua storia non morirà mai. YOU WILL ROCK YOU 4VER Freddy

  • freddie sei bellissimoooooooo..mi manchi :(

  • I will love Freddie Mercury forever.

  • You can tell he realy hated interviews..I don't blame him...those people are so stupid sometimes....

  • ...sometimes?? Most times. =)

    Zappa didn't like interviews either...

  • For a while I was pissed off all these classic Queen songs were being used for TV Commercials, but now I just think. Well, as long as Queen is heard and each genration discovers them. Their music lives on Forever.

  • I Love You Freddie

    I Miss You Freddie

  • Freddie was from India, but he wasn't Indian. His ancestors migrated from Persia to India back in the day. Then he was forced to move to England when he was a teenager.

  • Zanzibar is in Tanzania, which is in Africa. This is where Freddie was from. His ancestors were from India, but Freddie was born in Zanzibar, not India.

  • wrong zanzibar at the time was an indian island near the coast of Tanzania, and when the Tanzanian decided to get Znazibar back Freddie and his familly moved to England... plus even if it was a Indian Island and he received an indian education he's from the Parsie's ethny which are zoroastrian from Persian descendance, wich " spread" all around Iran, in Africa and India mainly

  • Very interesting. I see you've done your homework.

  • lol are you saying that because you were wrong? yep no congrats to me it is said in his biographical documentary dvd

  • Yes, obviously I said it because I was wrong, genius

  • I'm just pointing the fact that you were sarcastic cause you were wrong dork

  • @steve51704000 Freddie s ancestory was a mix of Iran and India, either was he was Eastern Asain

  • @MsLadyRobin Bulsara was a Bombay Parsi, Indian of Irani origin.

  • Where did you get that info from?

  • at 1:12 where he discreetly flips off the camera ...that's for all the idiots who leave negative comments about him on YouTube. Yes! Even after death he found a way to get back at you insecure lowlifes who project your insecurities negatively on to others; who you only think they cannot defend themselves. People get a life, Freddie had more talent, intelligence and charisma then you could even hope for.

  • AHMEN

  • I see the middle finger...

  • Oh good so it's not just me, it's about 1:12 right hahaha

  • haha, yeah i saw that too - he glanced at the camera for a second as he did that. lol

  • LOL! I love how he just turns it into looking at his hand :-D

  • di jævle homofob

  • freddie has the coolest mustache ever!

  • the bkrounf music was quite annoying in this. i don't mean queen music. just that it was a bit hard to hear what they were saying. did the interviewer get round to playing a queen video??

  • No kidding. We GET that it's Freddie Mercury. We GET that he was a part of Queen. We all know the songs, so why the need for background music, as though people are so feeble-minded and attention-deficit-ridden that they need it in order to stay alert throughout the interview?

  • They're going to Russia this autumn though :) How many years have past... And all these years we were waiting! :)

  • He was living with Brian's (his guitarists) sister for nearly 9 years and considered it a common law marriage and even after he went/found 'bi-' After his death he left 80% of his assets to her and in another interview he stated she was his only love. He wrote 'Crazy little thin called love' and others for her...she still lives in his huge home...he was/is OK in my book...stayed away from kids unlike the "REAL" perverts

  • if u r talkin about Mary Austin she was not Brians sister.. but his ex.. yes mary and brian dated then she left him for Freddie..

  • moisturizing hole? Freddie was gay and he did women.. he loved sex.. and who caresssss, whoever gives a shit needs to bang their heads against a solid concrete wall.. and spare us their backwards BS. Elvis presley died as a fat junkie.. on a toilet.. thats degrading.. but who cares he's the king of rock right? in my opinion if elvis was the king of rock than Freddie was the God of rock.. u see where i am goin with this..

  • whoever bitches about him being gay just get a fucking life, get off his dick.. FREDDIE was simply PERFECT!

  • I don't know if Freddie was "PERFECT", but in my opinion he was the comsumate rock star.

  • no.. PERFECT..

  • yea king of country rockabilly die on the John and Gay people seem to have a frustration that come out in artsy things and dear god get the KY jelly

  • It was weird. In retrospect we can point at Freddie and go, "Yeah, he was definitely gay."

But back then, nobody really knew. Then again, it was the 80's. Same thing happened with Rob Halford.

  • Go Freddie! One of the best talents in our history!

  • He was trying to flickoff the camra...

    hes so bizzar

  • Holy Crap, that was a VERY subtle way of flipping off the camera man. And you can tell he did it on purpose b/c he staring right at the camera when he does it.

  • LOL!

He *did* flip off the camera man, and so sneaky too, hehe...Hilarious!!!( 1:12)

  • yes Freddie Mercury is gay, but it shouldnt effect on how we think about him

  • he was bi

    and is still brilliant

  • lol you right he did flick the camera off!
